2. Energy source
Propane is a hydrocarbon. Sometimes called a liquefied petroleum gas, It is used as a fuel.
Propane is nonrenewable.

3. History
It doesn’t have a long history it was discovered in 1912 when people were trying to find a way to store gasoline. Dr. Walter Otheman Snelling is known for discovering propane.
Propane has changed over the years because it has become a natural energy source that people use often.
Dr. Walter Otheman Snellings discovered propane and Snelling sold his propane patent for $50,000 to Frank Phillips.

5. Where do we get it?
Propane is recovered by a couple different ways. Naturals gas refining, and oil refining.
Propane is found under ground and people burn it to make the vapor.

6. Where is it found?
Propane comes from natural gas and petroleum wells. 45% of propane used in the U.S. is from raw natural gas. Raw natural gas is 5% propane.
We make propane usable by using it for ever day things, and it makes it easier for us because it doesn’t polute.

7. How is it stored?
Its usually moved through pipe lines to distribution terminals across the nation. These distribution are like warehouses that store goods before shipped to stores. When it is not used that often in the summer it is stored in large underground caverns.

8. How do we use it?
Propane is a reliable energy source that is used by millions of Americans each day. It is used for home heating, water heating, fire places, cooking, clothes drying, generators, and gas BBQ.

9. More or less?
There is more propane used now then there was in the past. Now millions of people use it all over today. The USA uses propane the most out of all countries.
Technology: a new technique designed to reduce the potential pollution associated with the controversial natural gas drilling process.

10. Advantages Its 30-60% less money then wood burning fire places.
We can use it for heating systems, it is 20 degrees warmer compared to an electric heating system.
It can be used virtually anywhere.
It is used for home heating, water heating, fire places, cooking, clothes drying, generators, and gas BBQ.

11. Disadvantages Since propane comes in gas form it can easily explode.
Can cause massive amount of death or injury if there Is a leak.
Can cause a problem with the system
Even though it is cheap it is still expensive compared to other fuels measured by the amount.

12. Facts!
Propane wont ignite when combined with air unless the source of ignition reaches at least 940 degrees Fahrenheit.
Gasoline will ignite when the source of ignition reaches only 430 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

13. In 30 years?
Propane is used so much all over the world especially in the U.S. The price of propane will probably double or increase. It might just look the same.
FUTURE: there will probably be more efficient ways to burn it, so more ways to use it.
