3 ‘Shield’ ratings Based on the familiar ‘Star’ ratings, recognized worldwide as an indication of levels of services and facilities offered by the property Parallel rating to be offered relating to the levels of safety, security and prevention offered by the property

4 Market demands More and more hotel bookers are requiring security assessments of the hotels prior to confirming their bookings: Corporate businesses with lucrative worldwide contracts Travel agents with group and individual business Conference and meeting organizers Incentive travel houses Banqueting coordinators Individual travelers

5 Proposed Benefits Unified recognizable symbol, representing standards known to the industry, to the bookers (corporate, incentive, travel agents, conference organizers) and to the guests themselves Significant savings, to both bookers and to hotels, in time and money On-going audits on yearly basis, so rating is always up-to-date

6 Marketability Marketed through those organizations which demand the service. I.e. corporations, travel agents, incentive houses, and conference organizers. Hotel associations can be used as marketing channels, and are projected as lending their weight to the ever-increasing demand. Insurance companies demand levels of safety and security in order to set premiums.

7 Methodology (1) Yearly inspections by training and qualified specialists Performed by HSMT personnel or local agents These agents will be licensed after passing through training and qualification process by HSMT Licensing per country with agent inspection on random basis to prevent conflict of interests Open and pre-arranged site surveys Surprise and under-cover visits

8 Methodology (2) Following site survey, results entered into web- based software application to be developed Rating is immediately calculated and printed for hotel management, including official certificate Assessor can make recommendations to hotel management as to how to upgrade rating

9 Accompanying Software (1) Web-based database-driven software Practical, easy-to-use, user interface to speed up data entry Compulsory registration for access, including log of all accesses made Integrated mailing system to all registered users with opt-out option as legal requirement Automatic printing of results and temporary certificate when survey results are complete

10 Accompanying Software (2) Results will be based on a weighting system to be defined during application setup Rules system to enable conditions in weighting system Exclusions feature, including legal requirements Definable grey areas between shield ratings Email sent to HSMT automatically upon survey upload, for follow up and certificate issue

11 Management Reporting Module Each hotel to receive access code to application, restricted to their own hotel results Reporting module which can compare current and previous results If property belongs to chain, module will enable comparison between individual property and entire chain, or cross section of that chain Module to include graphic and chart outputs

12 Administrative Module User, property and inspector management Mailing system Alerts management to inform inspectors and HSMT when inspections are due User statistics Inspector statistics
