WHICH SYSTEM DO YOU THINK IS BETTER?

A study of 13 years to compare the education system between Finland and Spain The children don´t start reading until they are 7 years old, but in two years they read better than spanish pupils. In Spain they start at 5 years old.

In Finland the education is for free, even in the private school. Free transport Free food Free books Not in Spain. If your family doesn´t have enough money the goverment will give you some help for the books and food in the school.

Students in Finland are very respectful, quite and responsible. In the other hand they sometime have some problem with the social relation. Students in Spain are quiet noisy, and sometime you spend more time trying to have the class undercontrol than really teaching.

In Finland almost nobody repeat the course In spain is quite often, 30% of the pupils repeat some courses.

In Finland is very common to have an assistant teacher who help the pupils who have some problems, inside the class. In Spain we don´t have teachers assistants. The pupils who have some problems in learning they go to a separate class to learn.

In Finland, the Education degree has a very high status, only the students who really want to be a teacher do it. It is around 5 years and they need a master in pedagogy. In Spain used to be 3 years. Students who don´t know what to do with their lifes they usually choose to study education.
