5. State Police Investigating Street- Racing Death One man is dead after his car crashed during what police believe to be an illegal street race Sunday afternoon. According to State Police, the unidentified victim, while traveling south on Interstate 295 near Airport Drive, lost control of his vehicle. The car overturned several times and struck a tree. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died of his injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt. Witnesses to the crash said the victim's vehicle was racing three other vehicles at the time of the crash. Those vehicles were described as a white Nissan Maxima, a Hyundai Tiburon and a dark-colored Chevy Tahoe.
