4 IHI’s June- December 2006 Plan 1. Saturation (all hospitals to do all interventions in all units), and 2. Sustainability (hardwire these processes into everyday care delivery)

5 SC Node Objectives 1.By December 31, 2006, all acute care hospitals in the state will be participating in and submitting data to the 100,000 Lives Campaign. 2.By December 31, 2006, 100% of hospitals participating in the 100,000 Lives Campaign will be engaged in all applicable interventions.

6 SC Node Activities SC 100k Lives E-zine – SC 100k Lives E-zine – A biweekly e-zine from the Node. Mentor Hospitals in SC – Mentor Hospitals in SC – In addition to responding to IHI’s call for mentor hospitals nationally, the SC Node asks hospitals to consider serving as a mentor hospital to your fellow hospitals in the state. Speakers’ Bureau – Speakers’ Bureau – The Node is looking for individuals willing to be part of a Speakers’ Bureau, to make presentations at other hospitals, etc.

7 SC Node Activities cont’d Collaborative Meetings – Collaborative Meetings – The Node will host additional collaborative meetings between now and June, on the three interventions ranked of most interest by today’s meeting attendees. Visits to non-enrolled hospitals – Visits to non-enrolled hospitals – Node staff will continue to visit hospitals in the state to encourage them to enroll in the Campaign.
