1 OnSite Rapid Test Procedure Training
Part 2 CTK-MK-PPT-R0001 (2)

2 Disclaimer This is a general training presentation based on the OnSite Rapid Test procedure. Trainees should take precautions when performing a specific assay, and should strictly follow the procedure provided by the test kit.

3 Training Contents Introduction Perform Assay Before, During, After 1
2 Perform Assay Before, During, After 3 Assaying with Accuracy 4 Troubleshooting 5 Product Evaluation Additional Information Storage Temperature & Shelf Life 6

4 Before Assay Check storage room temperature daily
Check inventory and test kit lots if needed Store at 2-30 ℃, sealed

5 Test results log sheets
Before Assay Receive request for testing Check testing room temperature Recommended 15-30℃ Prepare the control and test results log sheets Test results log sheets

6 Before Assay Perform external quality control if needed
Check product’s name and expiration date Product Name Expiration Date

7 Before Assay Read the package insert and other provided information

8 Before Assay Set up testing area Set up Testing Area Purpose
Cleanliness Avoid mix-ups Clock, timer, or watch Count reaction time Disposable glovers Biohazard precaution Biohazard disposal container Dispose used device, dropper, tips specimen container Marker Label device Bright light Easy to read result

9 Before Assay Follow biohazard safety precautions Wear lab coat
Wear gloves Use protection pad for strip tests

10 Before Assay Serological specimen preparation Collection Storage
No abnormal specimens Whole Blood Plasma Serum At 2-8°C for specific defined period At -20°C for long term storage Blood Abnormality Influence Hemolyzed Background High lipid Flow and background Cloudy (Bacteria) Incorrect result Precipitants Flow and result

11 Nasal/Nasopharyngeal aspirate
Before Assay Respiratory specimen preparation Collection Extraction Nasal swab Throat swab Nasopharyngeal swab Nasal/Nasopharyngeal aspirate or wash specimen Storage At 1-8°C for specific defined period At -20°C for long term storage

12 Before Assay Fecal specimen preparation Collection and extraction
Transportation and storage At 2-8°C for specific defined period At ≤ -20°C for long-term

13 Collect urine sample randomly Label a clean urine container
Before Assay Urine specimen preparation Collection Transportation and storage Collect urine sample randomly Label a clean urine container At 2-8°C for specific defined period At ≤ -20°C for long-term

14 Before Assay Genital specimen preparation Collection
Follow standard procedures Extraction Transportation and storage At room temperature for specific defined period

15 Before Assay Specimen preparation
Bring pre-prepared specimen to room temperature Check specimen for abnormality

16 Cassette device in pouch Strip device in canister
During Assay Open the pouch or canister immediately prior to testing Cassette device in pouch Strip device in pouch Strip device in canister

17 During Assay Label the test device or specimen
The strips in the canister MUST be used within days from the date it is first opened Label cassette device Label the canister For dip-strip device, label the specimen container For non-dip strip device, flatten strip and label on the paper

18 During Assay Perform the test on the device Load specimens
Load sample diluent (as applicable) Read result in defined time Cassette Non-dip strip Dip strip

19 During Assay: Result Interpretation
Sit on the working stool Keep test device on table/lab bench Look straight down from above test device under bright light Observe test result around 5 seconds Take picture if needed Negative Positive Invalid

20 After Assay Document the result Report to supervisor if necessary
Clean up and dispose of biohazard waste Participate in periodic external quality assessment Specimen C T Result ID xxx + - Negative Positive Invalid

21 After Assay If necessary, request confirmatory test according to facility instruction Collect, process and transport confirmatory test specimens Maintain confidentiality Manage confirmatory test result
