1. Advent Calendar Christmas 2014

2. Sunday 30 th November At mealtime today, tell everyone about your Advent calendar and how it will help you show love and be more like Christ this Christmas season.

3. Monday 1 st December Read Luke 1, 26-31,38. Find out what the Angel of the Lord told Mary, the Mother of Christ. 26 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, 27 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28 And he came to her and said, "Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you." 29 But she was much perplexed by his words and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. 30 The angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus. 38 Then Mary said, "Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word." Then the angel departed from her.

4. Tuesday 2 nd December Say a prayer for all the people in the world who are far away from their loved ones because of wars.

5. Wednesday 3 rd December Which of the Ten Commandments is the most important? Read Mark 12, 30- 31. Find ways to show love for others at school today. 30 you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' 31 The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

6. Thursday 4 th December Make a list of all the important people in your life. Choose one and write him or her a note explaining how much he or she means to you.

7. Friday 5 th December Help out at home without being asked to.

8. Saturday 6 th December Say a special prayer today for all those you love. Pray for each one by name.
