2 How we got off the ground? Over 16 years working relationship between d2 Digital and Bolton Drugs and Alcohol Commissioners Issues faced in the alcohol sector Opportunity from the Health Foundation to participate in Shine 2011

3 Idea proposed- Alcohol Relapse Prevention using mobile Behaviour change + Persuasive Technologies The choice of mobile phone technology as an engagement medium to monitor and help prevent relapse is fairly radical and to our knowledge no similar study has been presented in the alcohol field worldwide.

4 Project objectives 1.Increase client engagement and retention with the aftercare programmes from 42% to 75% during the 12 month of the pilot project scheme. 2.Decrease re-referral rates within 12 months by 4% 3.Reduce costs to healthcare services due to avoidance of repeated detoxification and service costs.
