2 Communication Communication is a process of exchange of information, ideas, thoughts, feelings and emotions through speech, signals, writing, or behavior.

5 Nonverbal communication Wordless messages that depend on the body language of speaker. Gestures, body language, posture, tone of voice and facial expression. Nonverbal communication has three elements: Appearance (clothing, hairstyle, neatness.) Body language (facial expressions, gestures, postures) Sounds (voice tone, volume, speech rate)

6 Nonverbal communication What nonverbal communication do you wish to convey? What is appropriate classroom nonverbal communication?

7 Verbal communication It refers to the form of communication in which a message is transmitted verbally. The objective of every communication is to have people understand what you are trying to convey. Oral Communication: Face-to-face, conversation, speech, telephone conversation, video, radio, television, voice over internet. Communication is influenced by volume, speed and clarity of speaking.

9 Written Communication: Printed or hand written. Email, letter, report, memo.
