5. Healthy Families Children already on WIC We estimate that there approximately 60,000 HFP children already on WIC. However, this number is probably much higher based on how we collect information in ISIS.

Adjunctive Eligibility Abbreviated version WIC Federal Regulations (7 CFR 246.7) Adjunct or automatic income eligibility The State agency shall accept as income-eligible for the Program any applicant who is certified as fully eligible or presumptively eligible pending completion of eligibility for medical assistance under a Title XIX of the Social Security Act program.

8. When a Healthy Families beneficiary transitions to Medi-Cal, they become adjunctively eligible. Until they are transitioned into Medi-Cal, you will still need to verify their income. All Healthy Families beneficiaries should be transitioned to Medi-Cal by December 2013.
