8. The FRONT COVER and the BACK COVER work together to keep the book safe.

9. The FRONT COVER has important information on it.

10. Like the TITLE of the book!

11. The TITLE is the book’s name. It almost always appears near the TOP of the book’s cover. TITLE: The Very Hungry Caterpillar

12. The TITLE of a book can help you predict or guess what the book will be about. TITLE: The Very Hungry Caterpillar

14. This book is about a caterpillar. We can tell because the word caterpillar is in the book’s TITLE.

15. There is also a picture of a caterpillar on the cover of the book.

16. The COVER of a book also has the name of the AUTHOR on it.
