My approach to safety If a traveler (student or adult) violates rules set by chaperones, I have the right to send them home from the tour at the parents’ expense. My 6-to-1 chaperone ratio (for every six students there is one adult chaperone)
13
What are you responsible for? These are all necessities each traveler will be responsible for on this tour. Spending money for optional excursions, free time activities, souvenirs, beverages, and snacks ($20-$45 per day) Tips for your Tour Director, bus driver and local guides (around $10 per day) Passport and/or visa fees
14
Passports and visas All travelers are responsible for securing necessary documentation Valid passports are required for all travelers Passports may take up to 14 weeks to process Some destinations may require travel visas Non-U.S. citizens may require special visas or other travel documents Important note: Passports must be valid for at least six months after our scheduled return date

Every Service Learning Tour is unique. Here’s an idea of what yours will be like: In order to protect their home, community members of Palo Seco must continually reforest mangrove trees to keep their coastline stable. This tour allows students to discover firsthand the solutions to stabilizing the ecosystems involved. Students will analyze their surroundings as they visit protected areas and collect mangrove seeds. They’ll also contribute by collecting measurements and notes on juvenile plants to be transplanted. Service projects vary from tour to tour and are based on the needs of the communities. They’re confirmed close to the departure date. Our Itinerary:
