2. Belize Field School - 2012 Earn 9 university credits in 7 weeks in beautiful, tropical Belize! May 1 – 20, morning classes at Douglas College (Mon-Thurs) May 22- June 20, classes at Galen University, Belize June 20 – 24, Caribbean Island Excursion – beaches, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, beach volleyball The program focuses on the study of the cultural and physical landscapes of Latin America, Mayan archaeology, culture and history, conservation of regional landscapes, and current social, economic and environmental issues with an emphasis on Belize.

4. Courses Geography 1190, Latin America – M. McPhee (3 credits) Sociology 1155, Social Issues – S. Ashe (3 credits) Anthropology 150, Mayan Prehistory – S. Gibbs, Galen University, Belize (3 credits). Transfers to Douglas College as a first year anthropology course. All courses are university transfer courses
