10 Selection Individuate 13 competences not exclusive from Synopsis Individuate the competences in the 42 referees available Each Synopsis was sent to 2 (3 if necessary) referees After evaluation: the total score per student is calculated Exstablished a threshold for – score (minimum score 63) – Country (maximum 14 students of the same Country)

16 Workshop organization The list of students for each workshop session is ready: find your name in the different lists – Hanged on the windows in front of coffee break in Antonini Palast – Hanged on the board in Rizzi campus – C area A special additional organization is necessary for WS-A: you are asked to decide preferences as concern contens! – please fill in the sheet of preferences and restitute it to Secretariat (Cristina Cassan) during coffee break.

17 WG: an important formative activity in a group of critical friends Each session (90 minutes) will focus on one students PhD study Example of protocol 1.A student presents his/her PhD study to the group (30 minutes). 2.Clarification questions only (5 minutes). 3.In pairs students discuss their reactions to the presentation and prepare at least one question/comment per student to put to the presenter. The presenter has a break, and perhaps a chat with one or both coaches (15 minutes). 4.The whole group reconvenes for a question/answer discussion. This will be chaired by one of the coaches. All students will be expected to take a full part in these discussions (35 minutes). 5.Concluding comments by one or both coaches (5 minutes) 6.Student summary of the main points that have arisen from presentation and discussion for coaches (later).
