11 GLAST LAT ProjectNovember 17, 2004 AntiCoincidnce Detector 11 Descope Options Perform environmental testing at the LAT Level. –The ACD Subsystem would not be fully qualified prior to integration to the LAT. This would transfer schedule and cost risk to LAT integration. The following table provides the cost and schedule savings for eliminating testing at the ACD Subsystem level. 12 GLAST LAT ProjectNovember 17, 2004 AntiCoincidnce Detector 12 COST PLAN – Assumptions and Risks Assumptions –Success based plan. Rapid resolution of current technical issues (PMTs and EGSE) is required to stay on plan. –ACD RFI date is 5/17/04. –Minimal support (details provided on slides 3,4,6,&7) is provided following integration of the ACD to the LAT. Risks –No contingency in ACD cost plan. –A later than 5/17/04 integration date to the LAT will not allow the full planned ramp down of ACD personnel.
