3 King Philip’s War Time: 1675.6.20 ~ 1676.8 Metacomet=Philip (colonists called him) Cause: American Indians were desperate to retain their LANDS!! So the war began~

4 Damage 1200 houses were ruined 600 English colonials were dead 3000 American Indians were killed  Lost the war!!

5 Mary Rowlandson c. 1636~1711

6 Rowlandson’s Life 1636 – was born 1656 – married Joseph Rowlandson 1676.2.20 – was captured by American Indians 1676.5.2 – was released 1677 – moved to Wethersfield 1711 – passed away
