1 Acacia tortilis Plantation Project Extension Center of Agriculture College, King Saud University, Riyadh. The mission is to increase the productivity of agriculture sector and enhance farmers’ standard of living through extension services.

4 Project Goal Maximizing the productivity and efficiency of AL-Kurmha agriculture area while conserving natural resources and enhancing farmers’ standard of living through the implementation of suitable agroforestry technologies

7 Project Objectives Participants of the project will be able to: -Recognize the value of agroforestry technology after attending the related session, -Recognize the value of Acacia tortilis plantation after attending the related session, -Develop needed skills for Acacia tortilis plantation after attending the related session, -Plant Acacia tortilis in uncultivated farm area after one year of completing the program.

8 Project Activities Workshops, field visits, field demonstrations, practical learning activities, and discussions. Participants will be provided with package containing all required information, resources, and references.

9 Evaluation Formative and summative evaluation Evaluation Indicators and Criteria Objective One: Participants in the project will be able to recognize the value of agroforestry after attending the related session Indicator: Number and percentage of participants who have recognized the value of agroforestry after attending the related session. Indicator Criteria: At least 50% of participants should value agroforestry significantly more than they were before they attend the related session.

10 Evaluation Objective Two: Participants in the project will be able to recognize the value of Acacia tortilis plantation after attending the related session. Indicator: Number and percentage of participants who have recognized the value of Acacia tortilis plantation after attending the related session. Indicator Criteria At least 65% of participants should value of Acacia tortilis significantly more than they were before they attend the related session.

11 Evaluation Objective Three: Participants in the project will be able to develop needed skills for Acacia tortilis plantation after attending the related session. Indicator: Number and percentage of participants who have developed the needed skills for Acacia tortilis plantation after attending the related session. Indicator Criteria: At least 75% of participants should develop the needed skills for Acacia tortilis plantation after attending the related session.

12 Evaluation Objective Four: Participants in the project will be able to plant Acacia tortilis in their farm uncultivated area after one year of completing the program. Indicator: Number and percentage of participants who have planted Acacia tortilis in their farm uncultivated area after one year of completing the program. Indicator Criteria: At least 25% of participants should plant Acacia tortilis in 25% of their farm uncultivated area after one year of completing the program.
