3 MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION MBA+ Leadership, Innovation, and Sustainability Our approach We define leadership from a systems perspective. Within this context, it is defined as "bearing accountability for expanding scope of consciousness." The ultimate leadership challenge is one of inspiring others to this same intention. Failure to expand consciousness often results in a lack of authenticity (seeing, but not integrating more of the whole system) and therefore, in an inability to meaningfully serve others. Leadership is a meaning- making activity that invites us to engage in systems thinking and deep reflection about mutual interdependencies.
