PROBLEM  Since change is inevitable and the fact that bad things will happen to man, cattle, land, etc.: How would you keep an individual, species, or system adaptive using the three factors of adaptability (variety, beginnings, & Boom-Bust)? OR  How would you keep an individual, species, or system non-adaptive as in antibiotic resistant bacteria, pesticide resistant weeds and insects, or dependency of people to their government?

5. Summary  Range management is the key to sustainable beef production.  Variety is stability  Boom-bust management produces the highest resiliency  When starting a new management plan,give cattle time to adapt  Pastures should be small enough that cattle cannot survive on regrowth
