8 Bookkeeping  Bookkeeping is the process of recording a companies transactions.  Most cases this is done using a computer as there is to much paper to do by hand. Programs Used: Quickbooks, Custom Designed Software

10 Auditing & Valuation Services  Auditing & Valuation is the process of checking a companies books to make sure the #’s are correct.  Most Auditing & Valuation Services is completely done on the computer (paperless).  If not paperless most services are performed on the computer. 12 Forensics & Investigation  Forensics & Investigation is the process of looking for fraud in a company (Enron).  Computers are used to crunch numbers and to bring up suspicious numbers. Programs Used: Excel, Quickbooks, Custom Software

14 IT Audit  This is the audit of a company’s accounting computer system to make sure everything is running smoothly.  Requires high computer knowledge (degrees in computer programming and accounting) Programs Used: Custom Software

15 Managerial Accountant  Accountants who try to find low cost goods and services.  Perform complex equations to make sure the company gets a good deal on goods. Programs Used: Microsoft Excel, Custom Software

18 My Career Path  This Summer I will begin work for Bober, Markey, Fedorovich & Company.  I will be doing auditing & valuation services as well as tax preparation during tax season.  One day I would like to get involved in the forensics & investigation area.
