7 CLever Update 7/3/017 Summary My assessment: –a definite “growth area” due to national demographics and societal needs. –multi-agency support available for research, applications, and tech transfer. The next 3.5 years offer a unique window of opportunity - to establish a national reputation and gain additional support/momentum. Before seeking support, clearly identify major emphasis & talk to the sponsoring agency: –basic research: NSF, NIDRR –applications: VA, NIDRR –tech transfer/commercialization: VA, SBIR
