5 EHC in Trafford It’s not just been a quick switch to a new system, we have an implementation plan in place to ensure that we achieve whole system change over the implementation period through to April 2018 We are currently developing a new 0-25 EHC Team (built from merging existing SEN Assessment Team and part of Connexions) Two key strands to managing the work operationally – new cases and transfer review process. Transfer Review plan has been changed in recognition of the workload, and we will be looking to improve this process. Personal Budgets – we have a local offer in place now, which will evolve as we train our workforce and work with parents to build person centred plans that will lead to more creative thinking in how outcomes are delivered and whether a personal budget can help to do this. SEN Policy – has recently been consulted on and will be in place but reviewed and changed as the reforms bed in Local Offer – a huge improvement has been achieved in the depth and quality of information available on the Local offer. A key area for co-production with stakeholders, particularly parents to influence the design but also what is in the local offer. Implementing EHC in Trafford 5
