French group Auchan continues to expand locally with two established formats Auchan and Auchan City. Also the retailer plans to develop a project by which it could be more active in city centers. This can be done by implementing of Project City XS in Cluj-Napoca.

Registration of a Romanian subsidiary or branch is similar to the incorporation of a regular SRL Company (Limited Liability Company). Nevertheless certain additional documents have to be provided if the shareholder is a foreign parent company;
