Babies born to youth parents are more likely to have lower than average birth weight Fetal alcohol syndrome = condition that develops in a baby born of a mother that drinks alcohol during pregnancy Smoking will harm an unborn baby Even taking aspirin during pregnancy puts the unborn baby at risk

Emotional = feelings of isolation, despair, and frustration Future = dropping out of school to have a job to pay for child support Social = giving up activities with friends Financial = the younger a girl is when she has a baby, the more likely she is to live in poverty Physical = toxemia (pregnancy induced high blood pressure) can develop during pregnancy
