3 ACE Mandatory Dates Mandatory Date Explanation
Electronic imp/exp manifests, for all modes of transport, must be filed in ACE Import Manifest: Impact is for Air Export Manifest: Cannot mandate filing in ACE until regulations published Current processes for export manifest will continue to be supported, but as of 5/1/15, all ELECTRONIC manifests must be filed in ACE All electronic entries and entry summaries must be filed in ACE Includes Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements at time of entry or entry summary Paper filings allowed today, e.g., non-ABI, will continue to be supported All remaining electronic portions of cargo process must be done in ACE Protest, Liquidation, etc.

More than 846,000 ACE Cargo Release Entries filed Nearly 42% of entry summaries filed and 66% of duties and fees collected in ACE Reduced courier/printing costs saving each participant ~$900K/year 9 PGAs receiving data via ACE

8 ACE Automated Export System (AES) Functionality Milestones
January 15, 2014 CERT environment became available for trade testing of ACE/Automated Export System (AES) filings March 22, 2014 Export commodity filing capabilities were migrated from legacy AES to the modernized ACE/AES platform April 5, 2014 Census and Bureau of Industry and Security regulatory changes were integrated into AES processing in ACE AES was enhanced to support the Advanced Export Information filing option (pilot pending FRN publication) in ACE October 5, 2014 Air export manifest filing capability was added to AES processing in ACE

9 Export Regulatory Changes
Capability Date Description/Benefits Bureau of the Census Regulatory Changes 4/5/14 Post-departure filing times changed from ten (10) to five (5) calendar days Added Ultimate Consignee Type and License Value FTZ Identifier increased from five (5) to seven (7) alpha-numeric characters Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) Regulatory Changes Better validations and edits on license data to enhance processing Placeholder for the development of license decrementation capability Placeholder for expansion of Export Control Classification Number Advanced Export Information (AEI) Pilot TBD New filing option will require filing of data elements pre-departure with the remaining data elements to be filed 5 days after departure/export This filing option will not be authorized until Census and CBP identify trade pilot participants per the FRN
