10 Course Overview Training of the procedures for the wirebound wooden corn crate recycling program. The entire content of this handbook was developed by B. Spinelli Farm Containers, Incorporated. 11 Step 1 Empty crate of all product trimming, trash, etc.

12 Step 2 Locate the two wires that hold the ends of the crate.

13 Step 3 Bend the two wires away from the center of the crate and push the ends toward the center of the crate.

14 Step 4 Lay the crate out flat and fold the two ends flat toward the center of the crate.

15 Step 5 Lay the flattened crate neatly on the pallet.

16 Step 6 At a height of approximately three feet, straighten up all the crates and wrap pallet with plastic wrap. 3 feet

17 Step 7 Continue adding more crates until they reach the finished height of five feet. Wrap these remaining crates with plastic wrap. 5 feet

18 Step 8 Record on paper: Store name. Store number. Place the paper inside the plastic wrap of the finished pallet.

19 Step 9 Load finished pallet onto trailer to be returned to the warehouse

20 Step 10 Secure pallet with straps or load bars.

21 Recap 1.Empty crate of all product trimming, trash, etc. 2.Locate the two wires that hold the ends of the crate. 3.Release the wire loops from the front side of the crate. 4.Lay the crate out flat and fold the two ends flat toward the center of the crate. 5.Lay the flattened crate neatly on the pallet. 6.At three feet, straighten up all the crates and wrap pallet with plastic wrap. 7.Continue adding more crates until they reach the height of five feet; wrap remaining crates. 8.Write store name/ number on sheet of paper. Place sheet inside the plastic wrap of finished pallet. 9.Load pallet onto trailer to be returned to the warehouse. 10.Secure pallet with straps or load bars.
