6 5 Expand Adoption of Health IT Collect Advance Secure and Interoperable Health Information Share Strengthen Health Care Delivery Advance the Health and Well-Being of Individuals and Communities Advance Research, Scientific Knowledge, and Innovation Use

11 10 Federal Health IT Strategic Plan Federal Advisory Committee Feedback Questions for consideration:  Does the Plan address a needed broad vision for improving health?  Do you see gaps that would require federal actions to achieve goals?  Are there gaps or strategies that can be better addressed by the private sector? Note that ONC is identifying HIT Standards Committee members to participate in the HIT Policy Committee’s Strategy and Innovation Workgroup to provide feedback on the draft Federal Health IT Strategic Plan 2015-2020.

12 Federal Health IT Strategic Plan NEXT STEPS Public Comment Period Release Plan for public comment: December 8 60-Day public comment period ends February 5, 2015 HITPC provides feedback to ONC in February 2014. Implementation Planning Convene Plan Implementation/Determine Outcome Metrics in Winter 2014/15 11
