(DGSA) –Provision of quarterly updates from WNTI, RADSAFE, TCSC, SDF –Provision of collaborate applications for National Authorizations or Derogations. –Provision of collaborate applications for Fissile Exceptions. –Provision of a collaborative carrier audit system and audit report sharing

4 –Access to National forum for reviewing IAEA regulatory changes and providing a united voice to justify any industry required changes to International Regulations. –Access to National forum to consult with the ONR RMT (Note – Regulator attends every RAMTUC Meeting). –Access to the RAM Transport Training Group, setting standards for class 7 training (RAMTUC L1 (General Awareness) and L2 (Basic Consignment Skills) and provision of the L3 Specialized Skills course –Access to the RAM Consignment issues group for DGSA report sharing and LFE (transport event) monitoring and trending. –Access to reports from the Class 7 Carrier Audit function managed/funded by RAMTUC. –Access to RAMTUC Guidance documents for operational consistency. (eg DGSA). –Access to the nationally recognized transport industry platform to exchange views, ask questions to ensure industry consistency with live regulation and policy interpretation –Access to member’s information sharing website. 6 RAMTUC – Consignors Sub-group Developments to date Prepared a harmonised Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor Annual Report template Developed an initial LFE trending process for Class 7 incidents reported at the Consignors Sub-group meetings (from new ONR Guidelines) Forecasted Work for 2015 Refinement of the LFE process. This includes monitoring trends to assess the effectiveness of Guidance Notes issued in response to the findings of the annual report Produce 2 x new RAMTUC Guidance Notes - TFS and Placarding of Rail Transports Update to RAMCALC to align with SSR-6

7 RAMTUC - Training Sub-group Developments to date Suspension of Specialist Skills Level 3 course due to resource Revised General Awareness syllabus – more detail to help training providers Agreement to develop a General Awareness DVD Forecasted Work for 2015 Develop RAMTUC Course booking engine Re-map the Specialised Skiils training course against gaps in all courses available – then prepare technical specification for tendering purposes Prepare business plan to operate the‘Specialist Skills’ course using contractor(s) and run a tender process to identify a course provider Run one Specialist Skills Level 3 courses (September) Prepare concept ‘General Awareness’ course on self teach DVD

8 RAMTUC – Carrier Working-group Developments to date: RAMTUC Carrier Assessment process, procedure and tools produced, for a National standardised system: Assessment Standard, Evaluation Procedure, Register of Evaluations system, Initial Evaluation Questionnaire, RAMTUC Audit Forms List of RAMTUC users carriers formulated and a letter sent to members to distribute to company carrier department (or contract carriers) for buy-in to the approach Forecasted Work for 2015 – managed by the secretariat Implementation of the RAMTUC Carrier Assessment Process, including development of the Audit Programme and contract manage MfQ in carrying out the audits.

9 RAMTUC – Fissile Working-group Developments to date: Fissile Exception Working Group agreed the specification for the proposed RAMTUC Fissile Exception Application to ONR as required by para 417(f) of IAEA SSR-6 2012 The specification is in line with the fissile mass limits within the LLWR waste acceptance criteria (WAC), this is too allow continuous use of the LLWR WAC and to mitigate against the changes in the regulations which come into effect from the 1st of July 2015 A survey detailing the proposed specification was sent out to all RAMTUC members in November 2014. Completed surveys are required by mid January to allow review and make any changes to the specification if required and feasible. Forecasted Work for 2015: Collate all required information (including crit assessment) and produce fissile exception application by May 2015. Submission to ONR May/June 2015

10 RAMTUC – LSA Working-group Developments to date: Developed a draft LSA interpretation Guidance Document covering both –LSA-II/III Unshielded dose requirement LSA interpretation (ILW) –LSA-II Activity Distribution interpretation (LLW & ILW) Supported WNTI in commenting on the IAEA regulation change proposal from from France – defending current position Carried out National Survey on use of LSA criteria and company interpretation Forecasted Work for 2015: Complete guidance document and implement across UK with buy in from WNTI membership
