5 General Physician The name of our body system is called the Urinary and Excretory System. The major roles are kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder and urethra. Kidneys- The kidneys are a pair of organs that constantly clean the blood. Kidneys are the waste filtering and disposal system of the body. As much as 1/3 of all blood leaving the heart passes into the kidneys to be filtered before flowing to the rest of the body’s tissues. Ureter- A pair of tubes that carry urine from the inches long and run on the left and right sides of the body parallel to the vertebral column. Ureter is one of two uterine tubes that carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder. Each ureter enters the bladder through a tunnel in the bladder wall, which Is angled to prevent the urine from running back into the ureter when the bladder contracts. Urinary bladder- The urinary bladder is a sac-like hollow organ used for the storage of urine. Urinary bladder is a hollow elastic organ that functions as the body’s urine storage tanks. The urinary bladder plays an important role in delaying and controlling urination so that the average person only has to urinate several times each day instead of constantly leaking small amounts of urine. Urethra- The urethra is the tube through which urine passes from the bladder to the exterior of the body. The urethra is a tube that conveys urine from the urine bladder to the outside of the body.

6 Pictures and unique relationships PicturesUnique relationships the urinary system acquires a unique relationship with the muscular system because, the kidneys with in ones body will remove many substances out of the blood many of those substances maintain a lot of protein which allows the muscular system to work.
