40 This timeline represents a sequence that would take approximately 2-weeks to complete. Mapping the surface of a planet (1-2 class periods) Mars Image Analysis activity (1-2 class periods) Using ALTA Spectrometers (2 per team if possible): We have spectrometers we will be lending out to each team to complete the lessons that focus on reflectance spectroscopy. Lessons include: Introduction (resource/background information) Explore the spectrometers (1 class period) Visible and Invisible light (1 class period) Taking a Reflectance spectrum(2-3 class periods) Color vision (1-2 class periods) Remote sensing and Earth observations(1-2 class periods) Clouds and Dust(1-2 class periods) What makes Mars Red/Measuring Mars(1-2 class periods) Activities
