July 28 – August, 8 2003: CISM Summer School. Sept 2003: First CISM graduate student retreat. Sept 2003: Annual CISM all-hands meeting.

Code Coupling Thrust: Defines and/or develops computational science coupling tools; Couples component models into comprehensive model. Validation and Metrics Thrust: Tests and validates the comprehensive models. Empirical Model Thrust: Develops comprehensive empirical model. Data Assimilation Thrust: Develops plan in 1 st year. Knowledge Transfer: Provides the models to the research and forecasting communities. Education: Uses models in education programs.
