4. Summary of 2003 Activities  WG-C lA. Ying visited JAERI to discuss DEMO Blanket design.  WG-D lNew modeling group is established in EU.  WG- F lLiTiO fabrication & re-processing by the direct wet process has started.  WG-G lPre-test of the pebble bed rig for irradiation were conducted including packing factor check by XRT.  WG-H lHECOP -II fabricated end of 2002. lThermal conductivity and creep of Be was measured.  WG-J lProposed to be based on ITER MAR or MPH. Need to check Copyright.

5. 2004 Activities  WG-C lJAERI researcher will visit UCLA next year to join measurement of effective thermal conductivity between wall and pebble beds.  WG-D lNew modeling of pebble beds will continue.  WG- F lCharacterization of Li-Ti pebbles fabricated by the direct wet process  WG-G by J. van der Laan lIrradiation is going to start by middle of next year  WG-H lMeasurement of thermal conductivity and thermal creep will complete next year.  WG-J lEach party inputs database.
