2 WS 266 - Locating Information Sources, Spring 2005 Searching for Articles Choose an appropriate database Look around for Advanced options, such as limiting to a certain type of publication Consider using Keyword (sometimes called Default Fields) and/or Subject searching

3 WS 266 - Locating Information Sources, Spring 2005 Creating Search Statements Use the terms AND and OR to make efficient use of your search time  Remember to use parentheses if using OR! Use truncation (*) to search for multiple forms of a root word  Vot* finds: vote, voters, voting
