Interface Here we are interested in changes the way we interact with our computers Interface has two elements: – The interface itself AND – The control / input mechanism (I/O devices) Both of these are changing Hardware for display – Wii, Microsoft Surface, iPhone, ePaper, etc. I/O devices – Wii mote, multi-touch, voice, gesture, etc.

Augmented reality Augmented Reality (AR) is not Virtual Reality AR uses the real-world and adds computer generated information to it (it augments the real-world) This can be done via – Mobile phones, Head Mounted Displays, Heads Up Displays, projection – Often combined with location technologies

8. Omnipresent screens Simply put screens are everywhere already and are becoming cheaper and more flexible (perhaps literally) – Many have a computer imbedded Screens can display our interfaces What are the possibilities of this trend?
