Slide 1 CV30 Rugged Fixed Mount Computer

Slide 2 CV30 Accepting Orders: August, 2006 General Availability: Sept 15, 2006 Key Messages: oAggressively positioned to reduce the cost of entry, opening up new opportunities for use beyond forklifts – price carts, work stations, time & attendance terminals. oDifferentiated to support investment in both RFID and speech recognition which will revolutionize case picking and further improve employee productivity and efficiency. oBreakthrough combination of capability and form factor delivering increased lift truck visibility without compromising durability oThe CV30 ’ s small footprint improves safety by providing more visibility to a driver ’ s surroundings and enabling the use of multiple forms of wireless inputs – RFID, scanners, headsets, printers. oFactory loaded TE with speech client enables a hands free RFID/Data Capture picking solution.

Slide 3 Why CV30? Improve forklift safety and productivity by increasing driver visibility, elimination of cables Drive down entry costs, opening up new opportunities for use beyond forklifts Provide a complementary offering to the successful CV60 Provide a migration offering for 2455/248x Continue to build upon Intermec’s leadership in RFID enabled fork lift solutions CV30 is uniquely positioned to address significant pain points derived through Voice of the Customer research: Price CV30 delivers a value laden, high performance fixed mount. Safety CV30 delivers reduced driver obstruction on the forklift truck. Device Flexibility CV30 delivers a device that can be deployed in multiple applications for ease of management and can easily manage multiple types of inputs.

Slide 10 Competitive Analysis Feature SetComments Footprint Overall dimension directly translates to a driver's ability to see. The CV30 has the best combination of form factor, mounting flexibility and accessory options making it the safest and most productive in its class. Both Symbol units & the LXE (VX7 & VX6) share the same back case housing, so 1/2 screen & full screen computers have the same overall footprint and driver obstruction. CV30 magnesium case materials are unquestionably the most rugged materials used in the class. Wireless LXE remains a generation behind with only a 802.11b offering. CV30 and CV60 are the only dedicated Ethernet offerings; both Symbol & LXE rely on a USB dongle conversion & no Cisco Certified compliance. CV30 uses integrated antennas allowing for safer & more simplified installations. The CV30 has a unique self-sensing antenna connector that automatically switches to an external antenna when attached - this means customers only need order one configuration. This also enables interchangeable configs.

Slide 11 Competitive Analysis Feature SetComments Hardware Intel / Microsoft core for all computers. Both provide flexibility in core architecture. Intermec provides greater lockdown control for enterprise applications through iLaunch and iBrowse. Only the CV30 gives customers an OS choice, thus increasing flexibility in deployment. Ruggedness All units are capable of surviving dusty environments and wash down procedures. CV30 provides best in class ruggedness in a compact package. LXE MX3 is not capable of surviving a freezer. The Symbol units require a user serviceable desiccant pack to absorb internal moisture and repetitive service to replace with no warning as to when a change is needed. CV30 (and CV60) use a Gore vent to prevent internal moisture build-up and require no routine servicing.

Slide 12 Key Feature-Intermec Advantage FeatureBenefitIntermec Advantage Versatility The device tailors to various requirements and application use scenarios. CV30 offers the most versatile set of features & options for mobile and fixed mount applications: Mounting options, Windows offerings, ADC support, I/O ports, VoIP / VoWLAN capable. Size, price and functionality allow the CV30 to be deployed in many applications. Smallest full screen footprint Increased visibility for fork truck operator. CV30 is over 50% smaller than most competitive offerings, thus obstructing the driver ’ s view less and providing increased visibility. Forklift control center Converged device, managing multiple ADC technologies: RFID, Barcode, Speech, Voice, Bluetooth peripherals. Enables real-time decision making through integration of multiple data inputs.

Slide 13 Key Feature-Intermec Advantage FeatureBenefitIntermec Advantage Windows OS choices CE 5.0 Windows Mobile 5.0 Industry standard OS offerings ideal for TE or application migration. Only Windows Mobile rugged fixed mount offering. Speech enablement Increased efficiency in data collection. Enables increased ROI of RFID investment. Only factory loaded speech enabled TE solution. Replaceable Touch Panels Allows unit to stay in service longer, lowers service costs. Intermec offers the only rugged fixed mount family of devices with field replaceable touch panels. Migration elements for Antares customers Minimizes transition from legacy terminals. Simplifies migration and lowers migration costs through use of existing peripherals, connectors and mounts.
