4 Results of the survey of students in African Universities 43% of the respondents indicated they would consider changing their course if they had the information available before choosing the present course they are doing. 25% of the respondents access career guidance service using the web Over 70% of the respondents rated a website with career guidance as very important Only 12% of the recognised 301 universities in Africa have career centres with only 34% possessing a website

9 Ethical Recruitment Recruitment by wealthy countries of healthcare from the developing countries, impacts of the capacity and capabilities of the developing countries to deliver efficient and effective healthcare for its citizens To address this the Health Worker Migration Global Policy Advisory Council is developing a framework for a Global Code of Practice for Health Worker Migration

10 Training and Development of local skills Sustainable development –Recruitment of very expensive expats as an interim solution –Contractual agreement to include development of local talents –Skills development linked to needs –Secure employment contracts (legally binding)
