1 Times of the Gentiles Timeframe 1- Daniel 7 Rise; Reign; defeat of Antichrist
Study 1: Review of Daniel 2 and Daniel's visions of the 4 beasts and of the latter days; angel interprets Study 2: Identifying the 10 horns and the nation Antichrist will come from - the little horn of Daniel 7:8 Study 3: Identifying 3 of the 10 horns (nations) that are the key to Antichrist forming his empire and receiving worship Study 4: Daniel 7:8 - Notable features of Antichrist: 'eyes LIKE a man‘; 'a mouth speaking GREAT things'. Habakkuk confirms Daniel about the initial wars of Antichrist and his 'God of forces'. Jesus first signs concerns Antichrist (many saying ‘I am Christ’; wars that will terrify; not to be deceived. Study 5: Daniel 7:9-11 Events connected with the Rapture; Satan's angels cast down to earth; 3 1/2 year Christian tribulation; Christ's return - Antichrist's Empire destroyed

2 Daniel 7 builds on a complete understanding of Daniel 2
Daniel 7 builds on a complete understanding of Daniel 2. This is a review of Daniel 2

3 Study 1: Daniel's visions of the 4 beasts and of the latter days; angel interprets
In the Review of Daniel 2 – King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of the end times and Daniel interprets. In Daniel 7, Daniel has visions of the end times and the Angel Gabriel interprets Daniel 7:1-7  1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.  2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.  3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. The great sea in Daniel's vision (verse 2) in is day would be the Mediterranean Sea. He saw the sea very restless as the four winds strove upon it. Sea represents gentiles. In Rev 17

4 Four great beasts of Daniel 7 coming up out of the sea
Satan's religious system is symbolized as a harlot woman sitting upon many waters. The angel tells John these waters symbolizes peoples, multitudes, nations, and tounges (different languages).  Re 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. What Daniel is seeing then is the restlessness of Gentile powers striving for supremacy from all directions (4 winds of heaven) Four great beasts of Daniel 7 coming up out of the sea Daniel 7:4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

5  Daniel 7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.  Daniel 7:6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.  Daniel 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

6 Angel interprets who the four beasts symbolize – Daniel 7:16-18
Daniel 7:16-18 I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. 17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. 18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.  Daniel tells us these 4 great beasts symbolize four kings (four kingdoms) followed by a Kingdom the Saints of God will possess and last forever. This perfectly agrees with the truths taught in our review of Daniel 2. Daniel interpreted the image of gold, silver, brass ,iron as the Babylonian, Persian, Grecian, Roman Empires. What Daniel 2 did not answer is how the whole image gets to stand in the last days like a defiant Godless Goliath. However, Daniel 7 does. Daniel 7 introduces the Antichrist and his exploits to do this. We know from Daniel 2 what nations made up this image standing in the last days and the image was destroyed (defeat of Antichrist’s

7 Antichrist’s Empire destroyed
Empire) was by the Rock of Ages (Christ) when He returns. Christ then sets up His Kingdom over the whole earth (Rock became a mountain filling the earth Daniel 2:35) Daniel 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Christ the Rock of Ages returns Rock became a mountain filled the whole earth – Christ rules as King of kings and Lord of Lords forever and ever. AMEN Antichrist’s Empire destroyed

8 Comparison of four beasts of Daniel 7 and 4 metals of the image of Daniel 2 (same world empires)

9 Daniel 7:4 - Babylonian Empire - Loin
Daniel 7:4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

10 In Daniel's interpretation of the image in Daniel 2 the head of gold was symbolic both of Nebuchadnezzar and his kingdom - Babylonia.  As gold is the chief of metals so here in Daniel 7 the lion - the chief of beasts.  In Daniel 4:33.34 Nebuchadnezzar because of pride was given the heart of a beast and lived in the fields and ate grass as oxen and grew hair as eagles wings. After 7 years he came back to his right mind and gave glory to God.  God restored his heart, his throne, his servants and his honor. This fall and restoration of  Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonian kingdom is clearly seen in Daniel's vision of the lion above.

11 : Daniel 4:33,34 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws. 34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation

15 Daniel 7:5 – Medes/Persians - Bear
Daniel 7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.

16 The Persian Empire was inferior  in that it did not have the wealth, luxury had magnificence of the Babylonian empire but was greater in extent. At its greatest extent, the Empire extended from northern India was to parts of Asia Minor. Cyrus the Great conquest of Babylon in 539 B.C. ended the Jewish exile prophesied by Jeremiah that would last 70 years allowing the Jews to return to Jerusalem. Daniel lived to see the fall of the Babylon empire to the Medes and Persians as recorded in Daniel 5 in the days of Belshazzar the son of Nebuchadnezzar. God had prophesied 175 years before by the hand of Isaiah the prophet that Cyrus the Persian king would not only conquer Babylon but God named him by name before he ever was born (Isaiah 44:28, Isaiah 45:1-4). Isaiah 44:28 That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid. Isaiah 45:1-4 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; 2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight:

17 I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
These prophecies were literally fulfilled as the Babylonians in that fateful night left the two great leaf gates on the Euphrates River open for the Medes and Persians to enter into the great city of Babylon. The bear getting up on one side and then the other symbolizes the kingdom of the Medes existing first before the Persians. The bear fully standing is when the Medes and Persians united together to form the Persian/Medes empire. This truth parallels the two arms of silver in the image of Daniel 2. "Three Ribs" stood for the three kingdoms of Lydia, Babylon, and Egypt that had formed a triple alliance to check the Medo-Persian power but was destroyed by it.  Daniel 8:20 (Daniel 8) lists by name Medo/Persian as the next empire after the Babylonian. Daniel lived to see this (Daniel 5:28). Daniel 5:28 PERES; Thy kingdom [Babylonian] is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians. As the 'bear' is inferior to the first beast 'lion', so the Medo-Persian empire was inferior to the Babylonian empire in wealth and magnificence.  As the metals in the image of Daniel 2 decreased in value so did 4 beasts inferiority.

18

19 Daniel 7:6 – Grecian Empire - Leopard
Daniel 7:6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

20 The third beast was like a 'Leopard' having 4 heads and 4 wings of a fowl. The leopard is the most agile and graceful of wild beasts. Slight in its frame but strong, swift, and fierce are its characteristics. In Daniel chapter 8:6,7 Daniel saw a ram defeated by a he-goat. The angel sent to Daniel to help interpret these beasts tells Daniel plainly in Daniel 8:20,21 the ram with two horns (one higher than the other) is the Medes and the Persians. The he-goat that attacks and defeats the ram is the Grecian Empire. The notable horn coming out of the head of he-goat was the first king. Anyone who knows history of the Grecian Empire knows that it was founded by Alexandar the Great. Daniel 8:20,21 The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. 21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. When Alexander the Great was barely 20 years old he set out to conquer the whole known world, particularly Persia. In a few years he had freed almost all neighboring lands from the Persians, and his domain stretched as far east as India. The Egyptians welcome him as a liberator, and the city of

21 Alexandria was named for him. By 331 B. C
Alexandria was named for him. By 331 B.C. at age 25, he was proclaimed king of all Asia. He died at the young age of 30 and the Grecian kingdom was divided among his generals into 4 smaller kingdoms (Egypt, Greece, Asia Minor, and Syria). This division of the Grecian empire explains the 4 heads of the leopard.  The progress or speed of accomplishing this was swift as a leopard but not as swift as the armies of Nebuchadnezzar's empire of Babylon (the first beast - lion). This is why the symbol of fowl wings is used as compared to eagle wings of the first beast - lion.

23 Daniel 7:7 – Beast with 10 Horns – Time of Roman Empire land area when it is divided up into the nations of East and West Europe when the latter days first began (1948 A.D. Israel a nation) Daniel 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

27 Double witness of land extent of Antichrist’s Empire
Rev 13:1,2 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

28 Extant of Antichrist’s Empire

29 Before we go further, let us do a final review between what Daniel 2 and what Daniel 7:4-7 taught us so far. Carefully study the following chart. The first line will be a review of what Daniel 2 taught us

30 The kingdom forever and ever Daniel 7:18
Saints possess The kingdom forever and ever Daniel 7:18 Daniel skips over origin and divisions of Roman Empire land area to same time as 10 toes of Daniel 2. Daniel 7 has beast with 10 horns instead (East and West Europe). Beast of Rev 13

31 Daniel 7:8: Identifying the little horn - the nation Antichrist will come from
Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes  like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. First: Who are the 10 horns again

32 As you can see from the chart there are 4 stages of the fourth Kingdom (Roman Empire) that Daniel interpreted in the image King Nebuchadnezzar’s dreamt about (for review click here). The image part that had the iron (thighs, legs, feet, 10 toes) is the different stages of the history of the Roman Empire land area. The fourth stage of the Roman Empire land area (10 toes) is the nations of East and West Europe within the Roman Empire land area borders in the latter days. Latter days began in 1948 A.D. when Israel became a nation.

33 Daniel’s fourth beast with 10 horns (Roman Empire land area would be the same fourth stage of the Roman Empire as seen in the 10 toes of Daniel 2 ). Daniel 7 skips over the forming of the Roman Empire, it splitting in half, the beginning of nation-states. Daniel 7 skips to the time when the fourth beast has grown it’s 10 horns. This would be the Roman Empire land area in the latter days when it divided into nations . In other words the 10 toes of Daniel 2 and the 10 horns of Daniel 7 are the same stage of Roman Empire – the nations of East and West Europe since 1948 A.D.

34 1948 A.D. is when Israel became a nation and the latter days of Israel’s history began. Before 1948 A.D. and going as far back as the time of Babylonian captivity (606 B.C.) they were serving out their ‘time of iniquity’ as prophesized by Jeremiah’s 70 years and Ezekiel’s additional 2,520 years. During this over 2500 year ‘time of iniquity’ Israel was not a nation and it’s land area under Gentile Control. For a complete review of these truths see complete study of ‘times of the Gentiles’.

35 The rise of the little horn in 1949 A.D.
Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes  like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.                                            Image of  beast with horns - Art used by permission by Pat Marvenko Smith, copyright 1992. In Daniel 7:8, Daniel is going to introduce us to the person that will dominate world history from his rise till Christ's visible return. He is called by different names but Christians call him 'the Antichrist'. Antichrist must come from some nation. Daniel 7:8 first introduces us to that nation and calls it 'the little horn'. When Antichrist the person appears on the

36 Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes  like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.                                         world stage of prophetic events he becomes more important than the nation he comes from.  A good example is when Christ entered into His public ministry. He was more important in what He said and did than the nation of Israel where He was born. Daniel first introduces the nation Antichrist comes from (the little horn) and than more importantly the person of Antichrist. Remember, we just finished identifying the 10 horns as the nations of East and West Europe within the old Roman Empire land area in the latter days beginning in 1948 A.D. when Israel became a nation

37 Facts we can determine from Daniel 7:8 about ‘the little horn’
Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, Map of nations within Roman Empire land area (10 horns of Daniel 7:7,8) as of 1948 A.D when Israel became a nation. Facts we can determine from Daniel 7:8 about ‘the little horn’ 1: The fact that the 10 horns symbolize nations within the Old Roman Empire land area today (East and West Europe - map above), the 'little horn' would clearly then be a small nation and that it comes up among/between the other nations (10 horns) - at least small at it's start.

38 Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn
2: Daniel 7:8 says 'another little horn' meaning that some of the 10 horns Daniel first saw were also small. We know East and West Europe has several small nations. 3: Since 'the little horn' appears as 'another little horn' while Daniel was considering the 10 horns means this small nation was created by circumstances different from those that created the 10 horns. The 10 horns of Daniel 7:8, like the 10 toes of Daniel 2 have their history and land evolving out of the fall and division of the Roman Empire as we previously studied. If this was true of 'the little horn' then it would have been included in the 10 horns. Remember, the number 10 is not an exact count of nations but the number 10 used symbolically or prophetically is a round number. Daniel is

39 Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn
simply saying whatever the number of nations symbolized by the 10 horns that have evolved from the Old Roman Empire land area are included in the 10 horns. This little horn then, (an eleventh horn if you will) had to be brought forth among the 10 horns by unique circumstances not related to the previous history of the Roman empire land area. Yet, we are told this little horn comes out of the 4th beast - the Roman Empire land area. Confusing - I know - hold on. 4: We are told that while Daniel was considering the 10 horns he saw new action as 'the little horn' came up/among/ the 10 horns. This means this small nation is a more modern nation arising among/between those nations symbolized by the first 10 horns (East and West Europe - see map above)

40 Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn
5: In the study of same 'little horn' we read in Daniel 8:9 that 'the little horn' extended his rule greatly to the south, east, and toward the pleasant land (Israel). Daniel 8:9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.  This means this small nation at it's start originates toward the north and west in the Roman empire land area (Western Europe and toward north). We know from the rest of Daniel 7:8 Antichrist will bring under nations symbolized by the 10 horns at his rise under his control. We will get to that part of Daniel 7:8 shortly.

41 Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn
6: Habakkuk 1:6 says the nation that produces the Antichrist had a past known for it's 'bitterness and hastiness'. Habakkuk, like Daniel starts out with the nation Antichrist will use and then ends up with all attention on the man and his god he honors for his success. Daniel 11:38 talks of this god  Habakkuk 1:6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs.  11 Then shall his mind change change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.  Daniel 11:38 But in his [Antichrist’s] estate [dominion] shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

42 Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn
What small nation fits the facts to be ‘the little horn’ of Daniel 7:8? Based on these 6 facts is their a modern small nation that meets all of them or is this small nation yet future. This small nation would have to be a nation which was: not produced by the fall and division of the Roman Empire as the 10 horns were. A nation toward the north and west of Europe. A nation that was in the past known for it's ‘bitterness’ and ‘hastiness’. A nation that it’s past was put down and not considered part of the old Roman Empire land area (10 horns). Yet, Habakkuk 1:6 says God raises this same nation back up as ‘the little horn’ and it will be within the old Roman Empire.

43    In this late stage of prophetic history this writer finds currently only one country that meets all the conditions in the latter days that began in 1948 A.D. --- West Germany. Present day Germany started out as 'the little horn' when The federal republic of West Germany was created in 1949 A.D. and it’s capitol in Bonn which is within the Roman Empire land area. Hitler’s Germany was known for it’s bitterness and hastiness and it’s capitol was Berlin which is outside the Roman Empire land area. Hitler’s Germany was put down by the allied powers ( England, France, Russia, U.S.). They redrew German boundaries. It's borders moved westward and by the end of 1949 A.D., two separate German nations were created - the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) and the German Democratic Republic (East Germany). West Germany created in 1949 was part in and outside the old Roman Empire area but it's capitol city Bonn was inside. Though the part of West Germany inside was small, yet, Daniel says 'the little horn' came out of the fourth beast (the Roman Empire land area) and among/between the 10 horns (nations of East and West Europe within the Roman Empire land area). 'The little horn' (West Germany) is then both a nation within and outside the Roman Empire area at the same

44 time. The creation of West Germany in 1949 with it's capitol in Bonn prophetically to me birthed 'the little horn' - that small nation of Daniel 7:8. East Germany was outside the old Roman Empire area so it did not play a prophetic role at this time.

45 The Roman Empire at its greatest extent
The Roman Empire at its greatest extent. The German heartlands, east of the Rhine and north of the Danube, remained forever beyond Rome's grasp.  Germany past from the time of the Roman Empire to 1949 A.D. was never considered a part of the Old Roman Empire area even though 1/3 part of it's land jutted down into it.

46 Federal Republic of West Germany created in 1949 A. D
Federal Republic of West Germany created in 1949 A.D. does not exist today does that change prophecy?. Certainly not! When Israel’s long ‘time of iniquity’ ended in creation of state of Israel in 1948 A.D after 2500 years of their land under Gentile rule Bible, prophecy concerning the latter days of Israel began. The latter days is from the time Israel became a nation in 1948 A.D to when Christ returns in the 21st century. Daniel 7:8 starts out with the nations (10 horns) as of 1948 A.D.. Daniel 7:8 says that as Daniel considered these nations ‘the little horn’ came up/among/between them. From 1949 A.D. to 1990 A.D. when West Germany was a small nation and it’s capitol was Bonn the Antichrist was born – a west German. Today, that window closed When the Berlin wall fell and East and West Germany united and it’s capitol moved from Bonn back to Berlin in 2000 A.D. I agree West Germany does not exist anymore because the Berlin Wall was torn down and East and West Germany united. I agree 100%. However, West Germany did exist as a small nation from A.D. and fulfilled all the prophetic requirements as listed above. What I am saying, is

47 that Antichrist was born in West Germany during that window of time
that Antichrist was born in West Germany during that window of time. We are now awaiting the person of Antichrist himself to appear. When this happens we move from the nation to the man. The man becomes more important than the nation of his birth. However, Daniel by starting out with 'the little horn' is identifying the nation where he will come from - that is - born from. Do not look for 'the little horn' of Daniel 7:8 or Daniel 8:9 as a nation to appear - that part of prophecy has been fulfilled. We are now waiting for the appearance of the man referred to as ‘the Antichrist’ who will dominate history till Christ returns and defeats him and his armies (Kingdom). West Germany 1949 A.D. – 1990 A.D.

48 Now, another important fact as a result of East and West Germany united and Berlin now it’s capitol means Germany is no longer considered part of the Old Roman Empire land area. This is because it's capitol is now outside the Roman Empire land area as it has for most of Germany’s history. Scripturally speaking, if Antichrist was born at any other time in German history (outside of when West Germany and its capitol as Bonn existing from 1949 to 1990 A.D.) Antichrist would not be considered coming from the old Roman Empire land area and therefore not a Roman. But we know from scripture that Antichrist will be considered a Roman as told us in Daniel 9:26. Daniel clearly says that the future prince (Antichrist) will be from the people that destroyed Jerusalem and its temple after Christ was crucified. Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

49 Identifying three horns (nations) that are plucked up by their roots Daniel 7:8

50 When Daniel had these visions their was someone that stood by him – a messenger from God (most likely the archangel Gabriel mentioned in other visions). Daniel inquired of the angelic messenger concerning these 3 horns plucked up by their roots. This is what the messenger said in Daniel 7:24. Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes  like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. Daniel 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. God’s messenger talks of the 10 horns and the one rising after them would clearly be ‘the little horn’ of Daniel 7:8. Now notice the pronoun ‘he’ and being diverse from the first 10 kings. The first 10 kings would be the rulers/leaders of the 10 horns (nations of East and West Europe) in the latter days when Israel became a nation in 1948 A.D. This ‘he’ will be

51 Daniel 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. diverse from the governmental rule of 10 kings. This verse strongly indicates a return to a dictatorship rule rather than democratic, republic or socialist type of government that prevailed among these nations of East and West Europe since 1948 A.D Previously, we studied all the facts concerning rise of ‘the little horn’ of Daniel 7:8 and identified the nation Antichrist will come. I said West Germany created in 1949 is that small nation ‘the little horn’ of Daniel 7:8. However, the messenger of God identifies this same horn as a ‘he’ (Daniel 7:24). The ‘he’ then is evidently an individual from that nation that started out as ‘the little horn’. When a symbol is used in scripture to have a double meaning it is referred to as a double type. For example, in Daniel 2,

52 Daniel interpreted the head of gold in King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream as symbolic of his whole empire and yet said to the king ‘Thou art this head of Gold’ (Daniel 2:37,38). Daniel 2:37,38 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. 38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.

53 Applying the same rules of interpretation we first have ‘the little horn’ introduced as a small nation, and then that same horn applied to a person. Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, Daniel 7:8 behold, in this horn were eyes  like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. West Germany - Bonn 1949 A.D. and 1990 A.D.

54 Unified Germany - Berlin
The ‘he’ of Daniel 7:24 has to be a West German and had to be born sometime between 1949 A.D. and 1990 A.D.. This is because ‘the little horn’ (West Germany) no longer exists today because of German reunification in 1990 A.D. after the Berlin wall was torn down (see previous study). As we study the remainder of Daniel 7 and Daniel 8 we will see major changes ahead for Europe with German politics greatly affected to produce this individual. For now we believe what the messenger of God is telling us and as these events play out they will be fulfilled exactly in the way we are told. Unified Germany - Berlin West Germany - Bonn Modern Germany 1949 A.D. and 1990 A.D.

55 Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes  like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. Daniel 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. Before we identify the three nations that will be subdued by this individual let us answer the question. Is this individual – the ‘he’ of Daniel 7:24 – the one that Daniel 7:8 says has eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth speaking great things the Antichrist? The answer is yes and here are the reasons why. After Daniel has his visions he asked many questions (Daniel 7:16-22 and God’s messenger answers in Daniel 7:23-27 leaving no doubt that the ‘he’ of Daniel 7:24 is the Antichrist.

56 Daniel 7:15-27 I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. 16 I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. 17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. 18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. Remember Daniel 7 builds on Daniel 2. When asking the messenger of God the truth of his visions he was told a simple overview. The four great beasts (lion, bear, leopard, beast with 10 horns) are 4 kings (kingdoms) and will be followed by the saints possessing (taking) a kingdom that will be forever and ever. Simply put, this is exactly what the image of Daniel 2 told us. Four empires (gold, silver, brass, iron) which we identified as the Babylonian, Persian, Grecian, Roman - same as the four beasts of Daniel 7. Daniel 2 told us that the kingdom that would follow these four empires was formed by a rock destroying the whole image. The rock became a mountain

Daniel 7:17,18 totally agrees with Daniel 2. Christ the Rock of Ages returns Antichrist’s Empire destroyed Rock became a mountain filled the whole earth – Christ rules as King of kings and Lord of Lords forever and ever. AMEN

58 The kingdom forever and ever Daniel 7:18
Saints possess The kingdom forever and ever Daniel 7:18 Daniel skips over origin and divisions of Roman Empire land area to same time as 10 toes of Daniel 2. Daniel 7 has beast with 10 horns instead (East and West Europe). Beast of Rev 13

59 After the messenger of God gave Daniel the simple overview, Daniel was interested in new detail information concerning the fourth Kingdom (Roman Empire) that was not seen in Daniel 2. Daniel presses the messenger of God for understanding (Daniel 7:19,20). Daniel 7:19,20 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; This fourth beast is the Roman Empire. Notice the teeth of iron. Iron symbolized the fourth empire in the image of Daniel 2. When we think of iron teeth we can think of those iron shields the Romans held as they stood in line formation to protect themselves. Daniel mentions the nails of brass. Nails are sharp and cut and would identify with the swords of brass used in warfare. The Romans devoured, broke in pieces and stamped out any remains of their enemy by brute force. Daniel 7:20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

60 Daniel 7:19,20 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; 20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. Daniel asks messenger of God in Daniel 7:20 about the ten horns and the little horn that came up after. About the three horns that fell before that horn, and the eyes, mouth speaking great things, and a look more stout than his fellows. Daniel 7:20 agrees with our study of Daniel 7:8 and adds Antichrist’s look will be more stout than his fellows. Antichrist will stand out more when he is seen with the leaders of the 10 horns (nations of East and West Europe). Daniel 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; 22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

61 Daniel 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. Daniel is still talking to the messenger of God and now says that he saw that same horn (horn with eyes of a man, mouth speaking great things, the one whose look is more stout than his fellows) that this individual is the one that will make war with the saints and prevail against them. This means he will be successful in destroying and killing them and the other nations going along with it. Much scripture is devoted to this time of Christian tribulation period and covered elsewhere (see timeframe 4 for a full study) but for now we want to stay with Daniel 7. Notice verse 22 that the Ancient of Days came and gave judgments to the saints which are now in heaven. (events concerning the Ancient of Days and judgments given to the saints to execute on the earth are told in Revelations (see timeframe4 –Great Christian tribulation period followed by timeframe 5 – terrible Day of the Lord)). Daniel tells us that

62 in the end the saints are the winners and are rewarded with a Kingdom that will last forever. God’s divine messenger now answers Daniel’s questions in Daniel 7:23-27 about the fourth beast, ten horns, the horn that rose after them, and the three horns that fell, and about the persecution of the saints by that horn. Daniel 7:23-27 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. 24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. 25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. 26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. 27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people

63 of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. God’s divine messenger in Daniel 7:25 confirms that the same horn that speaks great words in Daniel 7:8 is now speaking these great words against the most High and shall wear out the saints, change times and laws and persecute the saints for time, times, and a half of time. Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. Time is a Jewish term for 1 year. Times would be 2 years. Time plus Times + half a time = 3 ½ years of Christian tribulation. Rev 12:6 tells us 1,260 days; Rev 12:14 says times, time, half of time; Rev 13:5 tells us 42 months. All adds up to the same time period of 3 ½ years (for a full study of 3 ½ Christian Tribulation Period and all verses connected with it see study of timeframe4). Messenger of God concludes in Daniel 7:26,27 and says they shall take away his dominion, destroy and consume it. They

64 Daniel 7:26,27 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. 27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people would be the saints that Daniel said would possess the Kingdom. This happens when Christ returns with the saints and defeats Antichrist and his armies and the saints possess the Kingdom. This is what Daniel saw in Daniel 2 when the image was destroyed by a rock that filled the whole earth. Rock was Christ and the Mountain Christ’s kingdom over the whole earth that would last forever. The return of Christ with his saints to defeat Antichrist and his armies is told us in Rev 19:11-21. Revelation 19:11-21 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

65 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet

66 that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. For a study on the return of Christ see Kingdom study. Chart below reviews the different timeframes that will span the rise, reign and defeat of Antichrist. This will give you an idea of some of the timeframes already mentioned such as timeframe 4 and timeframe 5 and Kingdom. Timeframe 1 covers much of this study – rise of Antichrist and his empire.

67 Identifying the 3 horns of Daniel 7:8: key to rise of Antichrist
Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes  like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. Daniel 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.   Daniel 7:8 clearly tells us these 3 nations are 3 of the 'first' 10 horns  - that is - the 10 horns he first saw before the rise of 'the little horn'. Therefore, if 'the little horn' is West Germany then these 3 horns are nations that existed before 1949 when West Germany was created. They also have to be 3 nations within East and West Europe that was part of Roman Empire land area because they are 3 of the 10 horns.

68 Below is a map of Europe before 1949
Below is a map of Europe before The dotted border is extent of the Old Roman Empire land area - 4th beast of Daniel 7 that the 10 horns came out of. The 3 horns then would have to be 3 nations within that Old Roman Empire land area that existed at this time.

69   If these 3 nations are free nations in Europe taken over by force by aggression by another nation (like what Hitler did), this would not bring worldwide worship that we are told Antichrist will receive when he comes to power (Rev 13:4)  Rev 13:4   4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

70   If however, these 3 nations were free nations that were taken captive by a foreign power from outside of the old Roman Empire land area (10 horns - see map below), and were not allowed the freedom of choice until Antichrist freed them from their aggressors when no one else could, than this would be hailed as a victory for Antichrist among all free nations.

71 3 horns plucked up by their roots?
Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: For those who do gardening, one would pluck up a plant by its roots when transplanting to a new location. The plant itself is not destroyed, only the elements that hold that plant are removed. The message here, is that, Antichrist does not destroy these 3 nations but destroys the aggressors or the forces that hold them hostage. Antichrist uses whatever force

72 Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: it takes to transplant these 3 nations. He does not physically move these nations from one geographic location to another, but makes them a part of his dominion of protection rather than the aggressors without destroying them in the process. The next question would be - what 3 nations could possibly fulfill Daniel 7:8?

73 What 3 nations meet the conditions to be the 3 horns of Daniel 7:8?
Before West Germany was created in 1949, Bulgaria, Hungary, Rumania were 3 nations of East Europe that were captive countries - taken over by Russia. They are also within the Old Roman Empire land area making them 3 of the 10 horns (see map above). However, with the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 these nations became independent again. Will they be become captive once again in the future?

74 Are they the key to Daniel, telling us that Russia will go hard-line again in the early part of the 21st century by taking back East Europe to rebuild the Soviet Empire? As we study Daniel 7 and Daniel 8 and what the prophet Habakkuk has to say, the case is very strong that this is exactly what happens.

75 The kingdom forever and ever Daniel 7:18
Saints possess The kingdom forever and ever Daniel 7:18 Daniel skips over origin and divisions of Roman Empire land area to same time as 10 toes of Daniel 2. Daniel 7 has beast with 10 horns instead (East and West Europe). Beast of Rev 13 Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes  like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

76 Antichrist’s eyes; mouth; stout look
Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. Daniel 7:20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. The horn that started out little in Daniel 7:8 subdued and brought under control 3 of the 10 horns. It is clear that Daniel is now focusing on the man and his notable features not the nation that produced him. The nation is not important as the man it produces – the Antichrist. Daniel records three notable features that stood out to him. His eyes, his mouth speaking great things and a look more stout that leaders of the other 10 horns.

77 Look around – have you seen this man
Look around – have you seen this man? He looks like he’s inside that horn and speaking great words

78 Before we talk about Antichrist eyes, mouth speaking great things or his stout look we want to look at Satan/serpent strategy to bring about the fall of our first parents and compare to similar Satan/Antichrist strategy to deceive the whole world in the last days. 2 Thess 2:9 tells us Antichrist’s rise to power is after the working of Satan 2 THESS 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, Satan is the 'god of this world' (2 Cor 4:4) that blinds unbelievers 2 COR 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Satan - 'prince of the power of the air' (Eph 2:2) Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

79 Satan has principalities, powers, thrones, dominions under his rule (Eph 6:12).
EPH 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.   Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Rev 12:9 tells that after Satan has deceived the whole world he is cast down to the earth. This happens right after the rapture. However, the massive deception is before the rapture when Antichrist comes to power. These truths will be covered in study of Daniel 7:9-11. This strategy of Satan using Antichrist is a pattern Satan used back in the garden of Eden to bring about the fall of our first parents.

80 Picture the scene in the garden before the fall
Picture the scene in the garden before the fall. God has told Adam not to eat of the tree of knowledge that grew in the midst of the garden for in the day he did he would surely die (Genesis 2:16,17) Genesis 2:16,17 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. God then creates Eve for Adam. Adam would have told Eve this profound truth so she would not choose to die. Now imagine the series of events in the garden that led to Eve believing the big lie of Satan who is speaking through the serpent. Eve is wandering in the garden, most likely by herself since Adam is not mentioned until she eats the fruit. Eve is in the midst of the garden and sees the serpent eating the fruit of this tree. She is in complete awe and wonder. Here he is eating this forbidden fruit and nothing is happening to him, and yet, if she does she would die. Satan masked in the serpents body now has her attention and has her already questioning God’s word. Satan presses on with calculating and cunning deception and here’s what Genesis 3:1-5 says:

81 Genesis 3:1-5 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Satan, speaking through the serpent and knowing Eve was questioning God’s word in her mind, says ‘Yea, hath God said’. The ‘yea’ by Satan implying this is not the first time God has said something that can be questioned. What he is saying to Eve is: ‘God, told you that tree story too’ like this is not the first time God said this. Then Satan questions the woman if God said she could not eat of every tree. She responds ‘we can eat of the fruit of every tree except in the midst of the

82 Garden or touch it, lest ye die’
Garden or touch it, lest ye die’. Notice she says ‘lest we die’ as opposed to God saying ‘you shall surely die’. Satan’s already having her doubt God’s word and that God meant she could possibly die not surely. Eve is still undecided for sure but wavering. Satan now goes in for the kill knowing The seed of doubt in Eve is quickly growing. Satan says ‘ye shall not die for God knows that in the day you eat your eyes will be opened and you shall be as gods knowing good and evil’. The gods to Adam and Eve would be the angels God created. They are very strong and knowledgeable and able to quickly go anywhere and were created higher than man (Psalms 8:4.5). Psalms 8:4,5 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Now the ‘yea’ of Satan along with his lie is picturing God as keeping something from her and God knows it. Satan is saying that instead of you being limited as a earthly creature you can be a god like the angels with so much knowledge and power. Satan tells Eve God knows that what really will happen

83 is that you will not die but rather your eyes will be opened – that is – that now your blind to this wonderful truth (that you will not die) but rather you seeing yourself becoming a god Eve, seeing the serpent eating the fruit and marvels at what the fruit must have done for him. After all, he was just another beast of the field and now lifted up from the level of the animal kingdom was standing up and communicating and having intelligent conversation with her. I say ‘Standing up’ meaning the serpent must have been upright because when God cursed the serpent afterwards it was to crawl on its belly and eat dust. She goes from that revelation in her mind of what the fruit did for the serpent to what eating the fruit will do for her – changing her to a god and like the angels having knowledge both of good and evil and higher powers. She now turns away from Satan and the serpent and looks at the tree the source of what will open her eyes to being a god. We read in Genesis 3:6,7 Genesis 3:6,7 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

84 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that
they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And when she looks at the fruit of the tree that it was good for food. She now looks at this tree without this big warning sign in her heart that she would die but now sees a tree that is good for food. The fruit looked pleasant to the eyes and her eating it will make here as wise as the gods. Blinded by lying wonders and lies she reaches out, took the fruit and ate and gave to her husband who now was with her, and he ate. Gen 3:7 says their eyes were opened and they knew they were naked. Adam and Eve did not physically walk around with their eyes closed before they sinned. When they both sinned against God we are told their ‘eyes were opened’ for they now had knowledge of both good and evil but tragically not as ‘gods’ as the angels were to them, but physically naked, spiritually blind and spiritually dead. Before the fall, God’s glory was their covering and protection. Now that glory was gone that covered their nakedness. Like a lamp burning bright on the inside lights the whole lamp around it, so now their lamp has gone out . They spiritually died and were left with their nakedness. The naked

85 flesh was the covering of their soul rather than the spirit
flesh was the covering of their soul rather than the spirit. They died spiritually and now sought to clothe themselves with a manmade glory - fig leaves. God instead, made animal skins to cover them. To make those animal skins God had to shed blood reminding God when he saw these coats of skin of the sacrifice His Son would pay one day in the future for the redemption of man so man can once again be born of the Spirit and have fellowship with God restored. In the day that Adam and Eve fell God made that verbal promise of a savior in Gen 3:15.

86 Satan/serpent strategy to bring about fall of Adam and Eve now used by Satan/Anti- christ upon the whole world in the last days Satan will use the same strategy in the last days using Antichrist. First, lying signs and wonders followed by lies. 2 Thess 2:9-12 clearly warns that Antichrist appearance upon the world scene is with signs and lying wonders due to Satan using ALL of his power to produce them. God will send the world a strong delusion that they may believe a lie. God says The reason is because they loved not the truth of the Gospel But rather love unrighteousness sentencing themselves to be dammed to perishing in their sins. Just like God said to Eve ‘ye shall surely die’ and she doubted till it happened, God says unbelievers will surely wind up in hell but many doubt it, but they will.

87 2 THESS 2:9-12 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,  10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. As one continues to study Daniel and fine detail that the prophet Habakkuk adds to rise of Antichrist, it will become very clear that it is Antichrist's connection with outer space that will be the secret to his coming with all power, and signs and lying wonders after the working of Satan. Outer space or what the Bible call the heavenlies is where Satan and his fallen angels dwell. Satan will make contact with earth and

88 Back to Daniel 7:8: Antichrist eyes
Antichrist will be his ambassador to deceive the whole world. The only one’s not deceived will be those that know God’s Word. Satan will give Antichrist knowledge not found in the laboratories. Antichrist makes his amazing debut upon the world stage of political events will all of Satan’s power, accompanied with lying signs and wonders. The world and the Church is about to find out why he is called the power of the air in a big way. We have many scriptures to cover that relate to these truths but they must be developed in the order that God has revealed in his prophetic Word. What may seem so supernatural and unbelievable to us will almost seem natural at the time of fulfillment. This is because Satan has been spinning his web of deception for many years in preparation of producing his man to save the world and bring in a false millennium. Back to Daniel 7:8: Antichrist eyes Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man

89 Daniel 7:8,20 - Antichrist's eyes 'like a man';
Satan will use the same strategy in the last days using Antichrist. First, lying signs and wonders followed by lies. Eyes are the window to the soul. Daniel 7:8 says Antichrist will have eyes 'like a man‘. Well, he is a man so we expect him to have eyes ‘like a man’. However, why would Daniel mention this unless it is a feature that we should look for. His eyes ‘like a man’ and yet the word ‘like’ means - like but not quite – almost - yet something different. In those eyes their will be something that will seem not man-made, not natural, but knowledge from other sources not known to man. The whole world will be in a crisis mode and then appears this man with knowledge as to what to say and do to rise to power and deal with the issues of the day. He will be backed by Satan with lying signs and wonders that will amaze the world and bring him the attention and self glory he seeks. In his rise he will honor a new and strange god and a ‘God of forces’ for

90 More on Antichrist’s god later in this study.
his success (Daniel 11:38,39, Habakkuk 1:11). Daniel 11:38,39 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. 39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain. Habakkuk 1:11 Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god. More on Antichrist’s god later in this study. Antichrist will make war against the transgressors successfully. Satan will use his fallen angels to give Antichrist the air support he needs to help his land forces. However, the world will be deceived by great signs and lying wonders (UFO’s?) and be convinced these are friendly alien force’s sent by the ‘ascended masters’ helping earth through a very difficult time in their evolutionary history. However, we must build this scenario from scripture. Satan is the master of deception. God has revealed his plan of deception beforehand.

91 Antichrist’s mouth – ‘speaking great things’
Daniel 7:8,20 - Antichrist's eyes 'like a man'; 'mouth – ‘speaking great things’ Antichrist’s mouth – ‘speaking great things’  Daniel 11:21,22 speaks of Antichrist, coming in peaceably and obtaining the kingdom (10 horns) by flatteries (by what he says), but yet, finds it necessary to make war as part of these flatteries. Daniel 11:21,22 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.  22 And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant. Notice verse 22 – this same person (Antichrist) later is the prince of the covenant. Daniel 9:27 talks of this when Antichrist makes a 7 year treaty that ends with Christ’s return

92 Daniel 9:26,27 and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Verse 26 - Messiah cut off – When Christ died. People that destroyed the temple and sanctuary after Christ died were the Romans under Titus in 70 A.D. The prince to come is the future Antichrist and will be from the land area Roman Empire covered. This is ‘the little horn’ of Daniel 7:8 I taught as West Germany (see previous studies on Daniel 7:8). He is the one that eventually confirms a covenant deal with Israel for 7 years (verse 27) which ends with Christ returning to defeat him (Kingdom).

93 Daniel 7:20,21 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. 21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Daniel 7:20,21 says Antichrist spoke very great things and that this same horn (Antichrist) is the one that will make war on the saints and prevail. This time period of Antichrist making war on the saints is known as the the great Christian tribulation period. God’s divine messenger interprets what Daniel saw and says in Daniel 7:25 the great Christian tribulation will last for time, times, and a half a time. In Daniel’s day a time was 1 year. Adding ½ gives us 3 ½ years the great Christian tribulation period would last. Daniel 7:25 and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. Other scriptures that confirm this same time period are Rev 13:5 which says 42 months, and Rev 12:6 and Rev 12:14 which says 1,260 days as well as time, times, half of time.

94 Rev 13:5-7 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Rev 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. Rev 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

95 Antichrist’s stout look more than his fellows
Daniel 7:20 even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. Antichrist’s stout look more than his fellows A third notable feature Daniel 7 mentions is Antichrist’s ‘more stout look than his fellows’. After Antichrist’s successful warfare against the transgressors when he comes to power, the leaders of nations of East and West Europe (10 horns) will join behind Antichrist because of what he promises. When these leaders are seen together Antichrist will stand out because of his dominant and stout look among them.

96 The kingdom forever and ever Daniel 7:18
Saints possess The kingdom forever and ever Daniel 7:18 Daniel skips over origin and divisions of Roman Empire land area to same time as 10 toes of Daniel 2. Daniel 7 has beast with 10 horns instead (East and West Europe). Beast of Rev 13 Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes  like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. (Daniel 7:20 adds ‘more stout’ than his fellows)

97 Daniel 7:9-11: The rapture; Satan's angels cast down to earth; great 3 1/2 year tribulation; Christ returns; Antichrist's Empire destroyed Daniel 7:8-11 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.   9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.  10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. 11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

98 We finished studying Daniel 7:8 - nation Antichrist would come from; his initial wars; his noticeable features (eyes, mouth, stout look). Daniel 7:9,10 below completely leaves the subject of Antichrist and records events happening in heaven and then returns back to the subject of Antichrist. WHY????? Daniel 7:8-11 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

99 Why a throne of fiery flame and wheels as burning fire?
Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. What thrones are cast down? Who is The Ancient of Days? Why a throne of fiery flame and wheels as burning fire? We know from previous study of Daniel 7:25 that Antichrist will persecute the saints for 3 ½ years (great Christian tribulation period). Rev 12:6 , Rev 12:14, Rev 13:5 all confirm the same length. Rev 12 however to me is the greatest chapter that shows clearly the order of events in Bible prophecy concerning rise of Antichrist and his Empire; the rapture to God’s throne; casting down of Satan’s angels to earth;, and the 3 ½ great Christian tribulation period that follows. Click here for a full study of Rev 12 before the rapture. Click here for rest of Rev 12 that follows rapture.

100 If you look at chart above, under rapture and great 3 ½ year Christian tribulation period you find Rev 12 and Rev 13 as events seen from earth’s point of view. Rev 4-6 show events from heavens point of view. Many get confused studying Revelations. John the Revelator records events from the rapture, great 3 ½ Christian tribulation period , 7 year terrible judgments of the Day of the Lord, ending in Christ’s return in two sections and in the same chronological order. This is because after the rapture from Rev 4-11 there is great activity in heaven where the raptured and resurrected saints are. Then from (Rev 12-19) covers the same events from earth’s viewpoint. This way we see both sides of same story.

101  Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. Regarding Daniel 7:9 about thrones being cast down we read in Rev 12:7-9: Revelation 12:7-9 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. The thrones being cast down are clearly Satan and his angels. If you studied events leading up to the rapture in Rev 12 (click for study) you would find a clear reference before the rapture to Antichrist’s empire already formed (Rev 12:3) while the rapture is the catching up of the manchild to God’s throne in Rev 12:5.

102 Revelation 12:3-5 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. A study of Rev 12:3 shows the dragon (Satan) in control of Antichrist’s Empire symbolized by the seventh head being crowned and having 10 horns which are only explained in Daniel 7 (nations of East and West Europe in the last days within the old Roman Empire land today). We know from our study of Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 four of the other crowned heads are the Babylonian, Persian, Grecian, Roman. The two remaining crowned heads are before Daniel; Egyptian and Assyrian Empires. These empires have one thing in common. they all had the promised land to Abraham as part of their Empire. Rapture takes place in Rev 12:5 (click for study)

103 Back to Daniel 7:9  Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. The Ancient of Days is God the Father sitting on a throne that the saints will be gathered around at the rapture. Rev 4-6 tells the story from heaven’s point of view (see chart above under rapture). First John the Revelator records the saints around the throne in Rev 4. In Rev 5 records Jesus as the only one worthy to take the 7 sealed book from Him that sits upon the throne (Ancient of days). Within this 7 sealed book are

104 judgments that will be executed on the earth
judgments that will be executed on the earth. Most of them have fire explaining the fiery throne in Daniel 7:9. and the many that stood before the throne and the books were opened and judgment set are the raptured and resurrected Christians. This scene of Daniel 7:10 matches – Rev 5:7-10. Revelation 5:7-10 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. 8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. The Father (Ancient of Days) gave Jesus the 7 sealed book (title deed to the earth) as the rightful heir to whole earth. All the raptured and resurrected saints will be around the throne after the rapture to join in this momentous event that affects all of creation.

105 Daniel 7:13,14 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Daniel has a another separate vision in Daniel 7:13,14 confirming Jesus going before the Father (Ancient of days). Clouds of heaven would be the millions of raptured Saints that are with Jesus to share in this momentous event. Jesus will open the 7 sealed book and execute its judgments which are recorded in Revelations. When the last seal – 7th seal – is opened Christ is giving a Kingdom that all nations, and people will serve and of His Kingdom there shall be no end and never be destroyed (Kingdom). The next chart shows how Daniel 7:8-11 line up with rapture generation chart and the scriptures we covered in Daniel 7:9,10. And then we will look at Daniel 7:11.

107 Daniel 7:8-11 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. As we have just studied, Daniel 7:9,10 cover events in Revelations that follow the rise of Antichrist and his empire in Daniel 7:8. Daniel 7:9,10 summed up events that were given in much more detail in Revelations such as rapture, Christ before the Father (Ancient of Days) and being given the

108 title deed (7 sealed book – Rev 5:8) that has the written judgments to be executed on the earth before Christ takes physical possession when He returns (Kingdom). This explains the fiery throne and fiery wheels which most likely are wheels within wheels like Ezekiel saw in Ezek 1:16 below Gods throne. Wheels is not referring to movement but rather order between different groups. Just like a Swiss clock having wheels of different sizes but all work together, each just as important as the other. The Saints after the rapture will be divided in different groups like in Rev (24 elders; 4 living ones, 4 horsemen etc). Christ opens the seals and each group will be told what to do and God’s judgments will be executed on the earth. Daniel 7:11 Daniel 7:11 picks up where Daniel 7:8 left off concerning Antichrist and especially his big mouth. However, you should know from out studies of Daniel 7:9,10 that between Daniel 7:8 and Daniel 7:11 the rapture has taking place and all the events connected with it including Satan and his angels been cast down to earth and the raptured saints around the throne with Christ and His Father (Ancient of Days).

109 Daniel 7:8-11 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. Daniel 7:11 is now post-rapture and records Antichrist speaking great words again like he was doing before the rapture in Daniel 7:8. He has an explanation for the rapture and the resurrection that just took place but they are big lies. However, God answers the great words of Antichrist with

110 Daniel 7:11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. judgments being executed upon the whole earth and especially  Antichrist's Empire itself during terrible Day of the Lord. It is in the days of these post- rapture judgments that the seventh seal is opened. When the seventh seal is opened Revelations 19 tells the story of Christ returning with His saints (Kingdom). Christ and the saints defeat the armies of Antichrist. Then, Antichrist's Empire is destroyed much like Hitler's Germany that burned in flames. Key words found in Daniel 7:11 are: beast is slain; destroyed; burned. This beast

111 Daniel 7:11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. is the same as the 4th beast with 10 horns in Daniel 7:7. Remember, the Roman Empire was never destroyed but over time it evolved into it's final Caesar 'Antichrist' in the last days. Revelations tells us both the fate of Antichrist himself and the false prophet. The false prophet is Antichrist's religious ruler over his worldwide religious center in Babylon that rules over all nations worldwide. See the building of Babylon (time frame 3; and its destruction Fall of Babylon). The beast and the false prophet are both cast alive into the lake of fire (Kingdom).

112 Daniel 7:8-11 summarized Rise of Antichrist and his empire Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. 114 Habakkuk adds to Daniel’s information about rise and initial wars of Antichrist
Habakkuk 1:1-4  1 The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.  2 O Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!  3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.  4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.    Daniel 8 covers Habakkuk chapter 1 in detail. However, Habakkuk 1:1-6 adds some detail to our study of Daniel 7:8. Habakkuk saw the wicked encircling the righteous. He did not have a name for it call it: ‘that’ in Hab 1:3. If 'that' were weapons Habakkuk would have plainly said so in words we would understand. What I believe he saw was a doctrine or a system that was being forced on good people who want democracy. Habakkuk used words like violence, iniquity, grievance, spoiling, strife, contention. Righteous law being

115 God replies to Habakkuk’s cry and burden that he saw
slack and righteous judgment not being executed. All these adjectives could very well describe communism as well as terrorism added to it. Habakkuk was so burdened about what he saw and cried to the Lord about how long would He let this go on and not do something to save the righteous. Is Habakkuk talking to our generation today. To determine that let us read what God’s reply was to Habakkuk concerning his cry and burden God replies to Habakkuk’s cry and burden that he saw Habakkuk 1:5  5 Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you. God gives this amazing prophetic answer and addresses it all believers scattered among the heathen. God tells them to regard (listen carefully) and wonder marvelously at the work that will be fulfilled in the days of those living to see it. The reason they will marvel is that when they were told beforehand they would not believe what they were told unless they saw it with their own eyes.

116 What is God going to do that believers when told beforehand would not believe it but marvel in the day of it’s fulfillment, Hab 1:6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs.   God answers Habakkuk (Habakkuk 1:6) and tells him exactly same events that Daniel saw concerning Antichrist but with additional powerful details. Events so unbelievable, that if someone were told of the events before they were fulfilled they would not believe it. I find that to be true when I teach about Antichrist's connection with outer space where Satan and his angels dwell and their unlawful contact, visible appearing and warfare to establish Antichrist’s Empire. Many think I am going to far and read too many science fiction books. Jesus put it another way concerning all the prophetic events of the end of the age. Jesus does not repeat what Daniel or Habakkuk say but like the other prophets – fills in details not found elsewhere. In Jesus discourse on events of the end of the age (Matt 24), He concluded saying all these things will happen in less than one generation (less than 40 years)

117 Matthew 24:33,34 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.  34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Hab 1:6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs.   Each prophet Had His own unique identifier name for Antichrist: Daniel - 'the little horn'; Isaiah 'the Assyrian' (Isaiah 10); Paul - 'the man of sin' ( 2 Thessolonians 2); John in Revelations 13 - 'the beast'. For Habakkuk - it was 'the  Chaldean'. First notice the pattern. God raises up a nation that obviously was put down and had a reputation for its bitterness and hastiness. We identified Germany as the best country to fit this and other prophecies identifying the nation Antichrist will come from. Second, just like in Daniel 7:8 and Daniel 8:9 Antichrist will take over many nations and Habakkuk talks of same thing ‘ dwelling places that are not theirs’, ‘marching through the breadth of the land’ (heart of Europe (toward the south and east and toward Israel – Daniel 8:9))).

118 Daniel 8:9  9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

119 Third; Habbakuk 1:11 says he will impute how he rose to power to his god. Daniel 11:36 confirms this new god of Antichrist which will be none other than Satan himself masquerading behind this new god just like Satan masquerading behind the serpent in the garden of Eden to deceive our first parents.. Habakkuk 1:11 Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god. Dan 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Chaldeans were a warring people that eventually took over Babylonia. Antichrist will do the same. He will make Modern Babylon part of his empire. The world book Multimedia

120 Encyclopedia says that the Chaldeans dwelt in Babylonia and excelled in Astrology and study of planets and stars. It is no wonder Daniel picked the Chaldeans as a type or picture of what will be dominant in Antichrist's Empire. Antichrist will be a great builder of cities and promoter of a world religion that embraces all religions and gods (timeframe 3). One of those cities will be Babylon of Revelations 17,18 right in the heart of the land that was ruled by the Chaldeans (see timeframe 3 for building of Babylon before the rapture and timeframe 5 for Fall of Babylon after the rapture). Note: Daniel 8 study will cover Habakkuk 1:1-11 in much greater detail including any verses that were skipped in this study Finally, Jesus in Matt 24:4-6 and Luke 21:8;9 gives three signs that will accompany the rise of Antichrist and happen before rapture. Massive deception that even the elect (believers) could be deceived;many coming saying ‘I am Christ’ and deceiving many; wars and commotions that Jesus had to tell us not to terrified – the end is not yet;. For a full study of these signs click here.
