CS-OH 1 The Mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
CS-OH 2 Five Steps to Success 1. Have a vision 2. Set goals 3. Build/motivate a team 4. Monitor progress 5. Achieve
CS-OH 3 Vision Leaders imagine what they would like to have happen in the future.
CS-OH 4 Goals Leaders identify specific goals that must be achieved to make the vision a reality.
CS-OH 5 A Goal is... n Specific n Measurable n Realistic n Time-bound n Action-oriented
CS-OH 6 Build and Motivate a Team People must want to make the vision and goals a reality.
CS-OH 7 Monitor Progress Track progress. Revise plans and goals as necessary.
CS-OH 8 Achieve Follow the first four steps and achievement naturally happens.
CS-OH 9 The Club Success Plan n Helps determine how to meet 10 important goals n Allows club to set own goals n Outlines strategies n Identifies resources n Has space to write in data
CS-OH 10 Club Officers Should n Study and use plan to set goals/timetables n Form committees n Periodically review goals/timetables n Compare accomplishments with reports n Give completed plan to incoming officers
CS-OH 11 Progress Reports n Sent to presidents in October, January, April, July n Sent monthly to Top 3 District Officers and Division Governor n Posted on TI web site: www.toastmasters.org
CS-OH 12 10 Goals n Two CTMs n Two more CTMs n One ATM-B, ATM-S, or ATM-G n One more ATM-B, ATM-S, or ATM-G n One CL, AL, or DTM n One more CL, AL, or DTM n Four new members n Four more new members n Minimum four officers trained each training period n One semi and one officer list submitted on time
CS-OH 13 Membership Requirements At year-end a club must have At least 20 members, OR Net growth of at least five new members
CS-OH 14 Clubs that meet the membership requirement and do the following earn recognition: Achieve 5 of 10 goals Achieve 7 of 10 goals Achieve 9 of 10 goals Distinguished Club Select Distinguished Club President’s Distinguished Club
