Energy Audit of a mixed style of buildings to provide costed project suggestions for future funding

6 Current Projects The following devices/equipment are being installed at Ultimo prior to end of June 2011 20kw Photovoltaic on Building D fed into grid through substation. 4kw VAWT in the area between Building K & Student Stage area also feeding into grid. (Vertical wind turbine) 600kw VAWT on tower roof of D to grid 600kw Wind turbine on roof D to grid 3 rooms being set up with C Bus system in K Fuel Cell to be installed in forecourt of K Weather stations x 3 on D, M & G (from memory) Battery room from fuel cell. The following devices/equipment are being installed at Gymea prior to end of June 2011 10kw already installed 2010 to grid Building A 10kw already installed 03/11 to grid Building C 600kw wind turbine to grid Building A 3 x tracking solar units on Building A 2 x training roofs to grid.

10 Assist teachers to find and access learning resources for green skills courses Provide a space for teachers and other staff working on sustainability initiatives to interact and share experiences, opportunities etc Provide an online space for teachers to access professional learning related to skills and knowledge for teaching sustainability Assist national and international business to match capabilities, resources to client needs, and promote TAFEs capability in sustainability and green skills Provide a central space for institutes to place reports, new initiatives, local resources and reporting on sustainability practices – as appropriate or as needed - eg where Environment officers want to centralise and share information.

12 TAFE NSW Sustainability Hub You are invited to an online launch of the pilot version. A ‘TAFE CONNECTS’ SESSION TO LAUNCH THE SUSTAINABILITY HUB PILOT On the 19th May, a ‘TAFE Connects’ one-hour session will be dedicated to the TAFE NSW Sustainability Hub. Find out: 1.What the Sustainability Hub offers teachers and business lines in terms of resources and information to support sustainability qualifications, capability building and connecting with sustainability 2.How to access and login to the site for the first time 3.How to contribute to a forum 4.How you can help to improve the site by providing feedback. You will be able to view the Sustainability Hub online just by attending the session. The site content and features will be demonstrated.
