Several routes Integrated degree of PhD and Master: research training and taught elements (the Master components completed by the end of Year 2) ESRC style “1+3” programmes with all taught elements in Year 1 for full-time students, before proceeding to research in Year 2 (Masters programme completed by the end of Year 1) Model B – Capacity Building Partnerships

A University fee level will be set, which will be “front loaded” in Year 1 as follows: As for Model A, Deans in consultation with Faculty Finance Officers may negotiate a different fee level in particular cases Form 21 to be completed for Accounts Receivable authorising Faculty payment of any residual fees that will not be met by the student/sponsor Model B – Academic fees

As for Model A Faculty/School submits proposal to Pro-Dean for Research Pro-Dean for Research investigates from a strategic, academic and financial perspective (in consultation with Faculty Finance Manager) and consults with Dean The Pro-Dean for Research will complete a standard Site Report and Due Diligence Form for review by the University’s Legal Advisor and the Steering Committee for Split Site PhD programmes. This Committee will consult with PSAG as appropriate. If approved a standard Memorandum of Understanding and Collaboration will be prepared by the Legal Advisor for signature by Leeds and the partner institution Model B – Method of Establishing a Split Site PhD (Capacity Building Partnership)

Degree equivalent to UK second class honours in a relevant For international students: at least IELTS band score 6.0 (with 5.5 in listening and reading, and 5.0 in speaking and writing) or paper-based TOEFL 550 (with 4 in TWE) or computer based TOEFL 220 (with an essay rating of 4.0) Some schools may require higher levels of English language Model B – Entry Qualifications
