2 What is Representative Sport? –representing your region –representing your nation –representing Great Britain –NOT representing your institution

3 Domestic Representation –English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish Universities squads –Representative Fixtures –British University Games/Home Nations Festivals –NOT International

4 Who can play? –National Competition Sports Committee and Executive Board recently agreed Any student that is eligible to compete in the BUSA competition is eligible to be selected for any regional or national representative team. Institutions have an obligation to confirm the eligibility of individual players and, on the same form, may indicate their willingness to accept the financial cost of his/her involvement.

5 Nationality - is this an issue? NO to play for Scottish Universities you must be a registered, full OR part time student at a Scottish Institution in membership of BUSA e.g. a Welsh U21 hockey player can captain English Universities

10 Representative Programme Selection Process Forms sent to AU office circulate to players restrict applications signatures on 2 sections A indicates that a player is eligible i.e. a student B indicates that you will make a financial contribution to their costs
