2 History of Korea Nazarene University Timeline: 1954: First established 1981: Relocated 1985: Became a 4-year school 1995: Focus on students with disabilities 2000: Support Center for Students with Disabilities opens

3 Current Accommodations at KNU 1. Sign Language Interpreters 2. short-hand typists for written transcription KNU needs to improve current accommodations because of increase in amount of deaf students and need to provide equal access to all students

4 Improvements to be made 1. Speech to Text captioning a. CART: Verbatim b. C-print (registered) & Typewell (registered) c. Speech recognition software d. Additional factors in ensuring success of this accommodation
