4 Focus European Health Care Supplier Sector About 200,000 health care SMEs in the EU Electronic Commerce IS within their reach! Approximately 630,000 health care professionals in Europe

5 Implement, demonstrate and validate the new standard and concept of XML/EDI in existing ECommerce services in the European Health Care Supplier Sector. More practical: Create, implement and support a new service for SMEs Goals

6 Deploy and validate XML/EDI services with a critical mass of SMEs: –70 SMEs within three countries Demonstrate the benefits of XML/EDI not only in Business to Business (B to B), but also in Business to Administration (B to A) in the Health Care Sector Results

7 Transferability and applicability of the tested service in different sectors demonstrated Close co-operation with Standardisation Authorities/Initiatives (CEN/ISSS) to jointly demonstrate and evaluate XML/EDI standards: XML/EDI Workshop Results
