19 SUPERNOVA 2004cy IN ESO 403-G9 Before After Circular No. 8364 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION SUPERNOVA 2004cy IN ESO 403-G9 Y. Chen, Z. Lin, K. Huang, H. Lin, and W. Ip, Institute of Astronomy, National Central University, Tawain; and Y. Qiu and J. Hu, National Astronomical Observatories of China, report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 15.6) on unfiltered CCD images taken on Apr. 5.87 UT with the 1-m Lulin Observatory telescope. SN 2004cy is located at R.A. = 21h34m25s.67, Decl. = -33o23'13".7 (equinox 2000.0), which is 25".7 west and 6".1 south of the center of ESO 403-G9. Approximate unfiltered magnitudes for the new object: 2003 Oct. 31, [19.0; 2004 Apr. 25.83, 17.5; May 27.77, 17.8; 28.77, 17.9; June 9.80, 18.2; 25.77, 18.2; 26.77, 18.4; 27.74, 18.3. First SUPERNOVA in Taiwan!!!
