OpEmuRec @CCALI  All the software needed to run OpEmuRec (as it has been described by Stefano) is available at ccali : $GROUP_DIR/soft/OpRelease_OpEmuRec  As you remember since the end of November the official platform at CCALI is SL5. All the OpEmuRec code has been developed on SL4, and it is not yet been tested on SL5. To use OpEmuRec you have to logon using the alias ccalisl4.in2p3.fr (see wiki pages) ssh your_login@ccalisl4.in2p3.fr  The kits used to compile and run OpEmuRec are “different” from the ones used with OpRelease : there are 2 more packages, Fedra and SySal, compiled at 64 bits. When you connect at ccali, the login automatically defines the environmental variables to point to the kits used by OpRelease. So, to use OpEmuRec please do : source $GROUP_DIR/soft/OpRelease_OpEmuRec/mylogin.csh  SySal needs to create some temp files, and these are written in /sps/opera/scratch/userid So you have to create your personal directory in /sps/opera/scratch (if you didn’t do it yet) 1

A general remark :  Everyone can use OpEmuRec and contributions from different people are welcome!  Anyway the reconstruction of the extracted data set is a centralized task (as it is for the Montecarlo production): OpEmuRec is run in batch mode, and the output files are available for all people, as it is done for the Montecarlo production.  This does not mean that people cannot work with OpEmuRec ! But, for instance, if you are developing code for vertexing, it is useless to run alignment, and tracking by yourself. You can copy in your working directory the output from tracking (the root file) and use it to develop your code. 2

Data availability The root file from extracted bricks are available in /sps/opera/operap/brick_fromDB/extraction_new They are named : brickid_processoperationid.root Some of them have already been reconstructed : results are avalilable in : /sps/opera/operap/brick_fromDB/reconstruction/ One directory for each data set 3

In each directory : 2 subdirectories Output root files, Configuration and parameter files used 4

At the moment : 1)only sysal results are available 2)12 bricks are already available 3) Among these, some brick related to interesting events (see wiki pages) are ready to be used: 1014653 1048057 1051248 1083484 Reconstruction of other bricks will follow, with priority given to interesting events For what concern extractions, new one will be done when the data map implementation in OpEmuIo will be done: at this point all the extractions will be redone, and the results concerning predictions, CS scan, SB/SF will also be available at OpEmuRec level. 5
