3 ME ROWAN 3 R Primary Specifications To lift a weight, quickly:  >400 lbs,  >24 inches in elevation  < 4 seconds Weight = 70lb Diameter = 24”, Thickness = 0.5” # of plates = 20 Up to 1400lb!

8 ME ROWAN 8 R Timer Circuit  Your design must include a timer circuit capable of measuring and displaying weight lift time during the 24-inch travel from the initial elevation to the final elevation.  An official time circuit will be used simultaneously

9 ME ROWAN 9 R Structural Materials  Aluminum  75 in 3 of 2024-T3 in various sizes  No dimension exceeding 48”  Plastic  50 in 3 of TIVAR UHMW in bar stock  Volume constraint is measured before any drilling or other material removal operation, i.e., pre-machined

10 ME ROWAN 10 R Miscellaneous Supplies  Miscellaneous supplies such as pulleys, pins (with pulley spacer blocks and shims), nuts, bolts, and other minor parts will be available.  Tools will be supplied, but it will be more convenient if you carry your own.  You will be able to use project lab.  You will use various machines to fabricate the parts.
