24 In celebrating the 75 th anniversary of legislation and organizations that built the foundation for today’s Colorado water management, individuals representing state and local governments, water providers, nonprofits, artists and other community members are all planning events that educate our citizens on water’s history and basic science, create awareness of current issues, highlight careers in water, create avenues for greater volunteerism and grow Colorado’s culture of stewardship. The year 2012 is a milestone for Colorado Water.
