4 Wednesday 5th October 09.00- Leave NSL for Gorssel 11.00- Arrive at the hostel. Welcome drinks and orientation of the camp site, rules of the camp, setting up bedrooms. 12.30- Lunch (brought from home) 13.30- Activities organised by camp team 16.00-Free time; drinks and snacks 17.30- Dinner- self service: soup, pasta & salad, fruit desert (children help clean up) 18.30- Evening programme (sports or similar) 20.00- Camp fire 22.00- Bed

5 Thursday 6th October 08.00- Breakfast – self service, children also make lunch at this time 09.00- Outdoor Nature study programme organised by Veldstudie. 12.30- Lunch 13.00- continuation of nature study activities 16.30- Drinks and snacks, free time, preparation for talent show “Bonte Avond”. 18.00- Evening meal: Fries, burgers/nuggets, beans and desert 20.00- Talent show and drinks 22.00- Bed

6 Friday 7th October 08.00- Pack and empty rooms 08.30- Breakfast 09.30- Free time and check on rooms 10.00- sports choices or activities in the woods 11.30- Eat lunch 12.00- Leave for HSV 14.30- Arrive back at NSL- children can leave early that day.

7 Organisation of children Aim of the camp is to integrate the two locations and departments. Children are in rooms with friends from own class (rooms sleep between 4-8 children). Children are in teams (mixed NA/ID/locations) throughout camp. Most rooms are inside the house, some huts outside. Male staff usually outside, female staff inside.

8 What to bring: Camp list has a detailed break down of what to bring. Insect repellent and sun cream (if weather is good) is essential. Torch with working batteries. Lunch for the first day. A suitcase/holdall that your child can carry! DVD for the bus journey (optional) Medicines if needed.

9 What not to bring! Too much- children have to carry all their own luggage. Electronic games Mobile phones (unless discussed with the class teacher beforehand) Money Camp knives/tools

10 Communication Second information letter will follow week of 19th September. Camp information form regarding health/dietary needs must be fully completed. It is essential we have details of your health insurance. Before the trip you will get the mobile number to call on camp if there is an emergency. We will hopefully post updates on the website from camp, if not we will contact the class parent to let you know all is well- remember no news is good news!
