2. The science is the key to the proposal, without the science the proposal has little chance. What infrastructure do the researchers need? Single or Multi-institutional proposal? Do you have someone that knows the faculty’s research? University requirements for proposal?

3. Staff that liaison with Faculty to understand their research and connect them with IT Staff and services they need. Help identify infrastructure needs. Identify researchers that fit for the proposal. Have proposal writing expertise. Handled the submission of proposal.

12. Wanted to test the links before we implemented them in the production. Tested both Layer2 forwarding and Layer3 forwarding. Limited time and traffic generation resources – Used perfSONAR boxes with 40GE interfaces to generate traffic. – Single box could generate ~50-60Gbps in both directions.
