2 Overview The Fidelity Award was named for Dr. Paula Helen Stanley, late professor of Counselor Education at Radford University, who served for many years as Director of the Radford University Center for Invitational Education. Her legacy as an inspiring, inviting educator lives

3 Schools that have received the Inviting School Award are encouraged to continue their study and implementation of Invitational Education through the Paula H. Stanley Fidelity Award program. This reflective process acknowledges schools for continuing to grow and sustain Invitational practices with five levels of Fidelity awards, which may be applied for every two years. The prestigious Gold Starfish Fidelity Award may be achieved after ten years of fidelity commitment to invitational principles.

4 Application procedures : 5 Steps Be officially recognized as an Inviting School ‚Maintain a current IAIE Institutional Membership ƒComplete and submit an application to the Fidelity Award Committee stating interest in applying for the Fidelity Award. Applications must be received by March 31, 2015. „Administer the Inviting School Survey (ISS-R) to at least 100 school stakeholders …Submit a report including the following components: – An assessment of school growth based on the IE Helix model. – A summary of how IE has impacted your school climate and culture, and – A description of how IE will influence your school’s future goals and plans. All of the required materials must be submitted by May 31, 2015.

5 Step 1 : Be officially recognized as an Inviting School

7 Step 3 : Complete and submit an application By March 31, 2015

8 Step 4 : School Survey (ISS-R) The Inviting School Survey-Revised (ISS-R) is a 50-item survey to be completed online by students, teachers, school staff, and parents/guardians. The survey is designed to measure the degree to which schools summon people to realize their relatively boundless potential in five basic dimensions: People, Places, Policies, Programs and Processes. It is available in English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. Ideally, 30% Students, 30% Teachers, 30% Parents and 10% School Staff (e.g.. Administrators, Counselors and Support Staff.) STEPS for Using the Survey Step 1: Preview the Survey Questions-(English Version) The official survey can only be taken online.(English Version) Step 2: Fill out and submit the School Demographic Information form. Step 3: Click the button below to submit the $150.00 survey registration fee. Payment can be made with a credit card or Paypal. Step 4: Check your email for instructions and a registration code to access the online survey.
